Responsibilities
- Execute automated and manual test procedures on integrated hardware and software systems.
- Set up, configure, and verify test environments including operating systems, BIOS settings, drivers, networks, and peripheral hardware.
- Perform hardware diagnostics at the board and component level using schematics, diagrams, test fixtures, and electronic measurement tools.
- Analyze system performance data, identify deviations, and produce clear, detailed reports covering results, anomalies, and corrective recommendations.
- Document and track defects in hardware and software using systems such as JIRA.
- Verify compliance with internal specifications, industry standards, and ruggedization/military requirement guidelines.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failed units and collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing engineers on corrective actions and retest activities.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in computer technology, electronics, or related discipline; equivalent technical experience considered.
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in systems testing, computer hardware diagnostics, or related technical roles.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments, BIOS/UEFI configuration, hardware troubleshooting, and basic scripting (Python, shell, or similar).
- Experience working with electronic components, PCB assemblies, and supporting documentation such as schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- US Citizenship required.
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications relevant to rugged computing and military specifications.is desirable.
