We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineer with strong expertise in FPGA design and development to join our Semiconductor Validation and Electronic Solutions team. In this role, you will architect, implement, verify, and optimize digital logic solutions for complex embedded systems. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of advanced hardware and software test solutions.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Act as technical lead for digital-based projects, architecting new solutions and troubleshooting legacy systems.
  • Collaborate closely with software teams to integrate and enable digital capability into applications
  • Consult with adjacent teams for digital, FPGA, and protocol issues.
  • Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based digital logic using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Perform simulation, verification, and debugging of FPGA designs.
  • Develop and maintain HDL code, timing constraints, and related documentation.
  • Integrate FPGA logic with embedded processors, sensors, and communication interfaces.
  • Execute hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
  • Optimize FPGA resource utilization, timing closure, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and internal engineering teams to define requirements and deliver fully integrated solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Support hardware/software integration, system-level testing, and debugging.
  • Maintain version control, CI/CD workflows, and design reviews as part of the development lifecycle.

  • A strong technical collaborator who communicates effectively across software, hardware, and systems teams to deliver integrated, high‑impact solutions.
  • A methodical problem-solver with deep knowledge of digital logic, high‑speed interfaces, and timing closure, paired with proficiency in modern FPGA toolchains. 
  • A digital engineering expert with hands-on FPGA design experience, skilled in architecting, implementing, and validating complex embedded logic solutions.
  • You’re organized in your work, thoughtful in your communication, and you take pride in delivering clean, reliable designs.

 
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FPGA development for embedded or digital systems.
  • Familiarity with VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with software interfacing
  • Experience with FPGA development tools
  • Familiarity with protocols such as SPI, I²C, LVDS, etc.
  • Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with digital logic design, high‑speed interfaces, and timing closure
  • Experience deriving requirements from widely varying problem statements.
  • Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA development for embedded or digital systems.
  • LabVIEW FPGA experience (NI CompactRIO, FlexRIO, or similar).
  • Solid scripting skills in Python or LabVIEW, or similar for automation and tooling
  • Programming experience in C# or Python
  • RF domain and standards experience
  • Knowledge of DSP algorithms or high-speed digital signal processing in FPGA.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation and verification tools.
  • Experience with simulation-based verification methodologies (UVM, constrained‑random testing).
  • Background in system architecture or mixed hardware/software development.
