Bullhorn is looking for a problem-solving systems-focused technologist to become our next Systems Engineer II. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and operating products and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environment, while ensuring 24/7 availability. The position requires proven technical experience along with a positive attitude.

As a Systems Engineer II, you will:

  • Monitor and maintain all production system equipment and services

  • Ensure 24/7 availability of the Bullhorn production application environments. This will
    include weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.

  • Be a mentor to other Systems Engineers within the team

  • Document technical environments, processes and procedures.

  • Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support,

  • Professional Services and third-party vendors as needed to resolve production problems

  • Maintain network and systems configurations globally across numerous data centers

  • Develop system analysis and reporting tools and tools for task automation

  • Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployment and enhancement
    projects, ensuring preparedness in servicing the product
     

As a Systems Engineer II, You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years total experience with systems administration, as well as hardware and software
    troubleshooting

  • Strong Windows Server skills (Server 2016/2019/2022,2025, Windows Server Core)

  • Experience with CentOS/RHEL or Debian Linux

  • Experience with VMware ESX/ESXi

  • Experience in managing containerized environments (Docker & Kubernetes)

  • Experience with operating infrastructure that supports .Net Framework, .NET Core, or IIS-based applications 

  • Experience working in an iSCSI SAN environment

  • Proficiency in Log Management with ELK, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or equivalent

  • Skilled in one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, C#, Python, Batch

  • Previous experience in a SaaS and/or high-volume website environment preferred

  • Experience in automation and managing large server environments

  • Strong understanding of RAID storage

  • Previous on-call experience


Bonus points for:

  • LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory

  • NAS technologies ( FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc)

  • Open Source Project experience

  • Ansible/Puppet/CFEngine

  • Windows Failover Clustering and Hyper-V virtualization

  • System Center suite (SCCM, SCOM) or Microsoft Endpoint Manager

  • PowerShell DSC/Ansible/Puppet for Windows environments

The annual base salary range for this position is $79,200 - $106,800. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual target bonus & a comprehensive benefits package.
