About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead – React + Node.js to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and system design, along with proven experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and development of web applications using React.js and Node.js.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance frontend and backend applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of software engineers.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
  • Define application architecture, technical standards, and development practices.
  • Identify technical risks and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Business, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Participate in estimation, sprint planning, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
  • Establish and maintain automated testing and CI/CD practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the technology stack.

Required Skills & Experience Frontend

  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Redux, Context API, or equivalent state-management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser fundamentals.
  • Experience with frontend performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar testing frameworks

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 46,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 161,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is available for independent contractors
