The Role

As a Technical Account Manager – Sales-Oriented, you will own the commercial success of a portfolio of key clients. You’ll act as the primary point of contact, helping customers optimize their experience with Simply.TV while driving revenue growth through renewals, upsells, and long-term account expansion.

While the role involves understanding technical solutions, deep technical expertise is not required and product knowledge will be developed through onboarding and training. Your success is measured by customer satisfaction, account growth, and the ability to spot and act on revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

You are successful when:

  • You own client relationships and act as the main commercial and technical point of contact.
  • You understand client goals and provide guidance on optimizing the use of Simply.TV’s data solutions.
  • You identify opportunities for account growth (upsell, cross-sell, renewals) and work with Sales to execute.
  • You monitor account health, usage metrics, and potential risks, taking proactive actions.
  • You coordinate with Product and Engineering to resolve issues and deliver solutions while maintaining client communication.
  • You document client interactions, account plans, and track open items to ensure transparency.
  • You stay up-to-date on product updates, features, and industry tren

RequirementsQualifications

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Possess 0–3 years of experience in client-facing, commercial, or account management roles (TAM, CSM, Account Manager, Sales Engineer, etc.).
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into clear language.
  • Hold a university degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Show passion for client success, growth, and technology.
  • Exhibit a proactive, hands-on approach and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Offer full-time availability.

: This role is not a hands-on engineering or solutions architect position. Candidates primarily seeking technical-only responsibilities may find this role less suitable.

Practicalities
  • Reports to: Head of Technical Account Management
  • Location: USA/CAN with occasional commute to our offices (Dallas, TX) and our Canadian customers
  • Type of Collaboration: Contract role – Independent Contractor (no benefits)
