The Technical Product Manager collaborates with key stakeholders to shape and deliver technology solutions that align with business needs and product strategy. This role works closely with the Sr. Technical Product Manager and cross-functional design and engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate new ideas, and drive product enhancements.

This Technical Product Manager will bring a proven technical foundation in software development, architecture, or related disciplines and serve as a subject matter expert on the platform and underlying technologies. You will translate market needs into clear product requirements, define solution approaches, and help drive execution of the product vision.

This role plays a key part in managing the product roadmap and backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned with user needs and business objectives while maintaining clear and consistent communication with internal teams and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Roadmaps

  • Work with internal leadership to understand the strategic goals for the product
  • Manage, prioritize, and execute on the product roadmaps through user stories and cross-functional communication with Engineering, Development, QA, and Design team members
  • Work with customer-facing internal teams to identify and understand desired product feature additions and changes
  • Demonstrate proactive understanding of problems to find a clear solution
  • Understand and communicate technical constraints or dependencies and how these may affect the roadmap
  • In conjunction with the Sr. Technical Product Manager, helps prioritize features and other product changes into releases over time and reports to the Manager of Product Management
  • Communicate the value of the roadmap goals internally and externally as needed

Product Backlog

  • Define features and product changes to fulfill the strategic roadmap goals using input from all external and internal sources
  • Help manage an updated and prioritized backlog that has a clearly understandable set of user intent/value stories
  • Develop user personas, use cases, user stories, and requirement documents to help define a differentiated product
  • Create and manage epic, story, and bug tickets
  • Working with the Sr. Technical Product Manager, help manage the scope and content of each monthly release
  • Define the acceptance criteria new features
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and QA to explain and refine each ticket
  • Work with Design to guide high-fidelity comps and behavioral details of new features
  • Assign and prioritize bug tickets from Customer Support and QA
  • Help troubleshoot usability issues and customer challenges with the product

Product Communications

  • Facilitate creation and maintenance of product documentation
  • In conjunction with the Sr. Technical Product Manager, prepare product release notes
  • Demo new features or functionality as needed to internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4+ years of experience in technical product management
  • Experience working closely with software and design teams and engineers
  • Experience building and launching a SaaS products preferred
  • The ability to think critically and troubleshoot blockers and challenges
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with systems design and development
  • Expertise in working with JIRA
