Short Form Content Analyst (TikTok + Visuals) — a sharp, creative, data-driven professional passionate about the intersection of content, analytics, and audience growth. This role will play a key part in shaping and optimising the short-form content strategy across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other emerging platforms. Candidates must be based in the Austin Metro area or fully committed to relocating to work closely with the executive and creative teams.

The Opportunity

You’ll be responsible for analysing content performance, identifying trends, and collaborating with the creative team to maximise reach, engagement, and conversions through short-form video.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels content.

  • Identify top-performing trends, visual styles, and storytelling techniques that drive engagement and growth.

  • Collaborate closely with the YouTube and creative teams to plan, test, and optimise short-form content strategies.

  • Use data insights to inform creative decisions — from video hooks and formats to posting schedules and audience segmentation.

  • Maintain dashboards and reports highlighting key KPIs such as views, engagement rate, retention, follower growth, and conversion.

  • Test and iterate creative formats to discover what resonates with different audience segments.

  • Stay current with evolving trends, algorithms, and cultural shifts in the short-form landscape.

BluZinc A-Player Criteria

We are only considering A-Players who:

  • Have 2–5 years’ experience in content analytics, growth marketing, or short-form media performance.

  • Have direct experience with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels analytics tools (native and third-party).

  • Can demonstrate spotlight achievements, such as:

    • Increasing engagement or follower growth 2–5x through trend analysis and content optimisation.

    • Creating actionable insights that improved content retention and conversion rates.

    • Contributing to the success of short-form campaigns for an eLearning, online education, or entrepreneurial media brand.

  • Combine strong creative judgment with deep analytical skills.

  • Thrive in a fast-moving, founder-led company where initiative, curiosity, and precision drive results.

  • Are based in or relocating to Austin, TX for hands-on collaboration with a passionate creative team.
