Our mission is to curate a training experience that is cohesive across our product workflows and engages our users to offer them training in the right moment in time.  We believe that training should be relevant to a user and their organization, that it should drive performance, and be utilized and engaging.  We are looking for a Training Architect Manager to join our Virtual Training and Enablement Team to help us make our mission a reality.

The Training Architect Manager will be responsible for creating and designing a cohesive virtual training experience for their assigned product area as well as partnering to enable Customer Success on new services and features. This individual will have strong experience bringing world-class training programs to growing companies. This person also needs to be able to take complex concepts and communicate it simply, visually, and across a range of mediums.  The Training Architect will work cross-functionally with members of Product, Onboarding, Customer Care, Customer Success and Internal Enablement to develop training for internal and external users.  This individual should have experience in developing a wide variety of training programs and a deep understanding of the athenaOne Product Suite. 
 

This individual will support our Clinicals Product which could include:

  • Decision maker training  (Product Configuration)

  • Clinicals

  • AI

  • Quality

  • Ordering

  • Encounter

  • Integrations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and drive the training experience for their product and services 

  • Focus on highly interactive content, and creating hands on simulations utilizing support environments

  • Enable Customer Success, Onboarding and Training on new products, services and features

  • Rationalize training offerings across services (virtual, onsite, coaching) to create a comprehensive and complimentary training experience, collaborating with other teams in Coaching and Training to do so

  • Groom training backlogs and work with product and internal stakeholders to determine priorities

  • Attend zone reviews as needed

  • Represent Customer Training in all release and product meetings

  • Consult/provide feedback as requested on concepts designs and release materials

  • Collaborate with product and UX on training strategy for features and services going GA, including traditional release training, large scale roll-outs and adoption considerations

  • Proactively advocating on behalf of customers to influence product decisions

  • Partner with Environments liaisons to ensure training capabilities for new features

  • Align with Product Strategy and Emerging Product Services on all Services (ERCM, Telehealth) training assignment, strategy and go-to-market

  • Simultaneously work on a variety of cross-functional training projects from assessment and conceptualization, through development, implementation and evaluation

  • Participate in departmental and divisional initiatives

  • Serve as a product SME where needed
     

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree in education, technical writing, digital media or related field

  • 8+ years of related experience

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, efficient time management skills and consistent follow-through

  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands creativity, scalability, and flexibility. 

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with disparate needs and opinions

  • Experience navigating delicate and complex strategic conversations

  • Experience working with cross-functional groups to achieve common goals


Expected Compensation

$93,000 - $157,000

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates.  Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
