Design and scope Azure (IaaS/PaaS, VMs, networking, AD/Entra, security, backup, cost optimization) and SharePoint Online solutions (migrations, governance, permissions, workflows). Produce proposals, SOWs, POCs, and train teams while recommending technology adoption aligned to the company stack.
In-Telecom is seeking a Virtual CIO / Solutions Architect to deliver strategic IT leadership and presales solution design for SMB clients. This hybrid role combines executive-level advisory (vCIO) with technical presales expertise (Solutions Architect), ensuring technology investments align with business goals and long-term growth.
While the role spans infrastructure, security, and governance, deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and SharePoint is critical. The vCIO/SA will design cloud and collaboration solutions, guide migrations, and support adoption strategies, while also helping CSMs deliver roadmaps, QBRs, and executive-level conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership (in support of CSMs)
- Partner with CSMs to deliver multi-year technology roadmaps and strategy sessions.
- Provide budget forecasting, lifecycle planning, and IT governance frameworks.
- Conduct infrastructure and environment assessments, recommending optimization strategies.
- Support CSMs in preparing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and client executive updates.
- Assist with vendor and contract reviews, ensuring client technology partnerships drive measurable value.
- Help identify opportunities for business process improvement and automation.
Solutions Architecture & Presales Responsibilities (Azure & SharePoint Focus)
- Design, scope, and price Azure solutions: migrations, IaaS/PaaS workloads, identity/security, backup/recovery, and cost optimization.
- Lead SharePoint solution design: migrations, structure/permissions, governance, workflows, and integration with Microsoft 365.
- Create technical presentations, proposals, and SOWs tailored to SMB and Mid-Market client needs.
- Collaborate with CSMs and Engineering to deliver proof-of-concept deployments and validate client solutions.
- Support BAEs CSMs with training on Azure/SharePoint opportunities to strengthen presales capability across the team.
- Remain current on emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with In-Telecom’s standard stack.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience in MSP, consulting, vCIO, or Solutions Architect roles.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure solution design and presales (VMs, networking, storage, AD/Entra, security, governance).
- Strong background in SharePoint Online architecture and adoption (site collections, permissions, migration, workflows).
- Broad understanding of infrastructure, networking, VoIP, managed services, and cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to present technical solutions to executives and decision-makers in business terms.
- Skilled in needs assessment, consultative analysis, and scoping projects into cost-effective solutions.
- Excellent persuasive writing and communication skills for proposals and roadmaps.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CMMC, HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2)
- Collaborative, with a “can do, will help” mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Collaboration.
- Experience with Connectwise RMM/PSA platforms, ScalePad, H umanizeIT, Hudu, and ImmyPot
