It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

The Vice President, Clinical Strategy & Product owns LucyRx's clinical and non-clinical product portfolio end to end — defining what gets built, why it wins in market, and how clinical evidence, formulary strategy, and client-facing clinical engagement come together in a sellable offering. Reporting to the SVP, Clinical Solutions & Client Experience, this leader oversees three functions: the product management team, the clinical account executive team, and formulary strategy. The role converts market and client insight into a prioritized roadmap, owns the investment case and pricing model for each program, and ensures clinical value is a decisive differentiator in the sales cycle.

Role and Responsibilities

Product & Clinical Strategy

  • Own the clinical and non-clinical product portfolio — prioritizing against market, client, and evidence inputs, and setting roadmap sequencing.
  • Define the clinical strategy across priority therapeutic categories (e.g., diabetes, women's health, cardiovascular, specialty) and translate it into differentiated, buildable product offerings.
  • Monitor clinical evidence, treatment trends, regulatory change, and competitive moves to inform product design and positioning.
  • Integrate formulary strategy with product strategy so clinical programs, benefit design, and net-cost performance reinforce one another.

Leadership

  • Lead a three-function organization — product management, clinical account management, and formulary strategy — against a single roadmap and one clinical point of view.
  • Set the bar for how work reaches market: discovery rigor, business case quality, launch readiness, and the evidence behind every claim the team makes, with formulary and benefit design decisions made alongside product decisions rather than after them.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain senior clinical and commercial talent, and build succession depth across all three functions.

Commercial & Financial Ownership

  • Own the investment case and pricing model for each clinical program; approve investments within the VP delegated authority threshold and pricing within the approved rate card, and recommend anything above to the SVP.
  • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, and Finance to ensure clinical products are priced, packaged, and positioned to win.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting on adoption, revenue, margin, and clinical outcomes across the portfolio.

Execution & Governance

  • Partner with Technology on build sequencing, scope trade-offs, and release planning.
  • Govern clinical evidence standards and outcomes measurement for launched programs, and recommend iterate, scale, or sunset.
  • Ensure products meet PBM regulatory, contractual, and clinical program standards in partnership with Compliance and Legal.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in PBM, pharmacy product strategy, pharmacy services, or a related healthcare services environment, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or materially shaping product strategy, clinical program strategy, formulary strategy, pharmacy benefit solutions, or related healthcare offerings
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across product, clinical, formulary, client-facing, finance, technology, and operational function.
  • Strong working knowledge of PBM operations, formulary management, utilization management, clinical programs, specialty pharmacy, pharmacy claims data, and the regulatory environment..
  • Proven track record developing business cases, pricing models, performance measures, and portfolio recommendations tied to revenue, margin, savings, adoption, and clinical outcome.
  • Demonstrated success supporting sales, retention, finalist meetings, or client strategy as a senior clinical or product subject matter expert.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD required.

Preferences

  • PharmD, active or prior pharmacist licensure, or comparable clinical pharmacy leadership experience.
  • Direct experience in PBM product strategy, formulary strategy, specialty pharmacy, clinical program design, or P&T governance.
  • Experience developing or scaling programs in high-cost or high-growth categories such as GLP-1s, diabetes, women’s health, biosimilars, or specialty drugs.
  • Experience using pharmacy claims, clinical outcomes, market data, and financial modeling to guide product strategy, pricing, and client-facing value stories.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required. Regularly operates in an office setting which involves utilizing a computer, mouse, keyboard, and occasionally operates other standard office equipment such as a printer, copier, and phone. Minimal travel may be required.
