Role Overview 

The Vice President of Marketing will be the strategic operator responsible for helping MacroHealth build an end-to-end, segmentation-led marketing engine spanning product marketing, demand generation, brand, customer lifecycle marketing and playing a critical role with the Chief Growth Officer and product management in upstream strategy. This leader will bring deep experience in healthcare SaaS, product commercialization, and high-growth GTM systems—ensuring that the company’s value propositions and differentiation land with each segment of the market. 

This role also requires exceptional leadership: building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing marketing organization that collaborates seamlessly with Sales, Account Management, and Product Management. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Marketing & Market Segmentation
  • Translate the growth strategy into marketing programs that deliver on the growth goals
  • Build a rigorous segmentation model across health plans, TPAs, employers, and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead deep voice-of-customer (VoC) research.
  • Define personas across buying journey and maturity cohorts.
  • Develop, in partnership with the CGO the enterprise marketing strategy.
  • Execute the marketing strategy 

Product Marketing Management (PMM) 

  • Establish a world-class PMM function.
  • Drive positioning, differentiation, participate with product in packaging, pricing inputs.
  • Lead product launches and enablement.
  • Maintain messaging frameworks and competitive intelligence.

Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth 

  • Design and scale demand generation across multiple channels.
  • Own ABM, SEO/SEM, paid programs, email nurtures, events, and webinars.
  • Build KPIs and dashboards for funnel optimization.
  • Drive segmented, relevant campaigns.

Brand, Communications & Thought Leadership 

  • Elevate reputation as category leader.
  • Own brand strategy, messaging, and identity.
  • Manage PR, analyst relations, and executive communications.

Customer Lifecycle & Advocacy 

  • Create lifecycle programs for onboarding, adoption, and renewal.
  • Build customer advocacy and reference engines.
  • Launch Customer Advisory Board.

Partner with Product Management in Upstream Marketing 

  • Partner with Product Management to conduct market sizing, whitespace analysis, and competitive mapping.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate insights into market requirements.
  • Inform product strategy and prioritization with market data
  • Partner with Product Management in other upstream marketing concepts like: new product validation, where to play and where to win leveraging market tested data

Build & Lead a High-Performing Marketing Organization 

  • Recruit and develop a world-class team.
  • Define roles, competencies, and career paths.
  • Implement processes, sprint cycles, and operating mechanisms.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and accountability.

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Ensure Alignment to company-wide positioning set by Executive Team 
  • Tight collaboration with Product, Sales, CS, Finance, and Partners.
  • Develop joint GTM plays and commercialization playbooks. 

Ideal Candidate Profile 

  • 10+ years in healthcare SaaS specifically in the healthcare payer segment.
  • Expertise in PMM and driving Market segmentation strategies.
  • Proven success in demand gen and product commercialization.
  • Exceptional storytelling and strategic judgment.
  • Experience in Marketing Operations & Analytics
  • Strong Analytical skills and familiarity with modern marketing technology and measurement frameworks
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Health Plan, TPA, employer and ecosystem partners preferred
  • A strong bias towards strategic use of AI in marketing

Success Metrics (12–18 Months) 

  • Segmentation strategy executed.
  • Pipeline growth improved measurably.
  • PMM function operational and effective.
  • Successful product launches.
  • Marketing team fully staffed and high-performing.
  • Significant brand presence and market influence. 

 

Location: Remote anywhere within the US (Must be located in the US)
