Magna Legal Services is a trusted nationwide partner to law firms, corporations, insurance carriers, and government agencies, delivering comprehensive legal support at every stage of a case. From court reporting and record retrieval to jury consulting, investigations, litigation graphics, and language services, we help our clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence. Our reputation is built on the expertise, dedication, and professionalism of our team, and we’re proud to foster a culture where talented people can do meaningful work and grow their careers.

Magna Legal Services is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to build and lead consistent product management practices across the company. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this leader will lead Magna’s product management team and work with Business Unit leadership in a matrixed environment to bring structure, process, and discipline to how Magna evaluates, develops, launches, and improves its products and services.

The VP will contribute to product strategy by bringing client, market, and operational insights to planning and prioritization. Working closely with leaders across Commercial (including Sales, Marketing, and Client Success), Technology, Operations, and Magna’s Business Units, including court reporting, records retrieval, jury consulting, investigations, trial technology, and language services, the VP will help turn strategic priorities into well-defined roadmaps and coordinated execution. Product sits at the center of these groups: the VP serves as the bridge between the Business Units, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success, and owns enterprise-wide products that do not fall neatly within a single Business Unit, such as the client portal.

Magna’s product managers will report directly to the VP of Product Management, with a dotted line to their respective Business Unit leaders. The dotted-line relationship reflects that the Business Units own their product and offering strategy; product managers will work closely with their Business Unit leaders to ensure product development is directed by and consistent with Business Unit priorities.

The VP will also work through Magna’s Product Council, chaired by the Chief Strategy Officer, which brings together executive, commercial, and technology leadership, including the CTO, to align product priorities across the company. The VP will partner closely with the CTO and Engineering leadership, who will be actively involved in shaping product priorities, roadmaps, and feasibility decisions, so that product direction and technology strategy move forward together.

This is a remote position within the United States. The Vice President of Product Management must be able to travel to Magna’s Philadelphia-area offices approximately 10% of the time. Travel may occasionally be scheduled on short notice or occur in consecutive weeks based on business needs. Candidates with convenient access to Philadelphia are preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage Magna’s product managers, who report directly to the VP with a dotted line to their Business Unit leaders.
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of enterprise-wide products that serve multiple Business Units, such as the client portal.
  • Establish product management processes, standards, and governance that support consistent decision-making across Magna.
  • Introduce best practices for product discovery, opportunity assessment, prioritization, requirements development, launch planning, and ongoing improvement.
  • Contribute to product strategy by sharing client feedback, market insights, portfolio assessments, and product performance data.
  • Translate company and service-line priorities into clear product roadmaps, business requirements, and execution plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and decision-making among Business Unit, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations leaders, including through Magna’s Product Council.
  • Guide product initiatives from initial concept through development, launch, adoption, and refinement.
  • Develop practical tools and frameworks to evaluate opportunities, build business cases, assess feasibility, and measure expected impact.
  • Partner with CTO/Engineering team to ensure engineering produces development timelines with enough specificity around milestones and sequencing to enable the PM to monitor and report out on progress.
  • Define and monitor measures of product performance, such as adoption, client outcomes, revenue contribution, and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products and services, and coordinate the work needed to advance them.
  • Build organizational understanding of product management roles, processes, and decision rights.

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in product management, product operations, or product development, ideally in professional services, legal services, technology-enabled services, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated success establishing or improving product management processes and cross-functional ways of working.
  • Experience coordinating products or services through discovery, development, launch, and ongoing improvement.
  • Strong ability to translate client and business needs into requirements, roadmaps, and actionable plans.
  • Experience with prioritization, business cases, product performance measures, or go-to-market planning.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to build alignment among senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the judgment to introduce process that supports effective execution.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic organization and building structure where processes are still developing.

Success in This Role

Success will mean that Magna has clear, repeatable product management practices; teams have a shared process for assessing and advancing product opportunities; and product decisions are supported by client insight, business priorities, and measurable outcomes.
