Role Summary
As a Video and Media Production Intern, you will play an active role in bringing stories to life by supporting our production pipeline from concept to final export. Working closely with our creative team and the intern community you will help create engaging video content that resonates across both internal and external digital channels.
Role Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end video production by collaborating with the creative team to brainstorm, storyboard, and refine scripts for various multimedia projects.
- Assist with live production setups, including the safe handling, configuration, and breakdown of professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Execute core post-production workflows, utilizing editing software to assemble rough cuts, perform color correction, balance audio levels, and integrate basic visual elements.
- Maintain media asset management standards by systematically organizing, logging, and archiving raw footage, project files, and final exports within our Google environment.
- Adapt and resize video assets into multiple formats and aspect ratios to ensure optimized performance across diverse web, social, and internal presentation platforms.
- Participate in creative feedback loops, incorporating constructive notes from stakeholders to iterate on video drafts while maintaining high production value and brand alignment.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 12 week summer internship.
- Currently pursuing a degree or program in video and media production or relevant field to the role.
- In office 3-5 days a week in Austin.
Role Requirements (Must-Have Skills)
- Demonstrated experience with editing software, with a strong operational baseline in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
- Foundational knowledge of video production mechanics, including an understanding of composition, exposure, basic three-point lighting, and capturing clean secondary audio.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management habits, allowing you to balance multiple project deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Strong collaborative communication skills, enabling you to express creative ideas clearly and work seamlessly within a cross-functional team environment.
- Submission of a portfolio or demo reel (link or digital file) that clearly showcases your editing style, pacing, and visual storytelling capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Basic proficiency in motion graphics and asset creation, specifically using tools within the Adobe Creative Cloud suite such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
