We are seeking a high-energy, driven Virtual Account Executive (VAE) who thrives in a hunter role—someone hungry to win, committed to growth, and eager to build a long-term career. The VAE will identify opportunities, convert leads into lasting partnerships, and drive revenue by delivering value-driven networking solutions. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for customer success.
Successful VAEs are confident communicators, skilled presenters, and disciplined sellers who can align customer needs with Extreme’s solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, teachable, resilient, and motivated to exceed expectations while enhancing the buyer’s experience within their assigned region.
Responsibilities
· Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within existing accounts and net-new prospects
· Drive revenue and margin growth by representing Extreme’s end-to-end portfolio, including Wired, Wireless, Network Management, and Security solutions
· Actively hunt for new opportunities while expanding the existing install base
· Achieve and exceed quarterly sales quotas aligned with corporate initiatives
· Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, cold calling, and account development
· Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that articulate business value
· Develop and maintain accurate forecasts, business plans, and pipeline reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
· Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional internal teams and channel partners
· Stay current on Extreme offerings, competitive landscape, and industry trends
· Participate in required training, certifications, workshops, and customer meetings (virtual and in-person as needed)
Requirements
· Self-starter with high energy, strong work ethic, and the ability to succeed with limited direction
· Coachable mindset with commitment to continuous learning and professional development
· Outgoing, personable, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
· Proven hunter mentality with experience developing new customer relationships
· Ability to operate as a trusted business partner with high personal and professional standards
· 1–2 years of sales experience preferred (SLED/or IT sales a plus)
· Strong business planning, forecasting, and pipeline management skills
· Solid understanding of competitive technologies and solution-based selling
· Ability to articulate and position Extreme Networks’ value-added differentiators
· Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and partners
OTE on a 50/50 split based on region, qualifications and experience 100,000 - 140,000
