Overview

The Vice President, Legal Services reports to the SVP of E-Discovery and is instrumental in balancing high-quality delivery of Consilio’s service offerings with operational efficiency. Specifically, this position is responsible for productivity and utilization, development and resource management, supervision, quality assurance, and maintaining business routines across the Vertical. As a manager, the Vertical Vice President is expected to actively participate in management routines and provide subject matter expertise in applicable operational planning activities designed to meet the client requirements of the Vertical while maintaining a consistent product across Consilio.

Responsibilities
  • Productivity – Direct forecasting, resource allocation, and utilization across all projects within the vertical to ensure activities are appropriately and efficiently resourced. Through oversight of direct and indirect reports and shared services teams and tight focus on operating processes, provide consistent, high-quality service on all client matters.
  • Revenue Support – Manage relationships with clients, partners/vendors, and others with a focus on client satisfaction and long-term partnership. Collaborate with sales leadership to assist with pre- and post-sales support, including management and participation in client meetings, assisting in the design of client solutions, integration of new clients, and general sales support. Serve as subject matter expert for operating model and delivery goals/strategies and act as connector between business development efforts and operational effectiveness.
  • Employee Engagement – direct recruitment, onboarding, goal setting and performance management, career development, and engagement of a distributed team of employees for high performance and retention. Working with the broader team, identify and grow key talent, coach performance, and foster a culture of feedback, coaching, engagement, and talent development.
  • Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution - Proactively identify areas of operational risk and implementing strategies to mitigate such risk. Serve as a final escalation point for issues within the Project Management team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address pain points, resolve operational challenges, and create new processes as required to address specific client needs.
  • Process Standardization and Improvement – Work closely with the SVP for eDiscovery to maintain adequate management routines to deliver to the unique needs of the vertical while maintaining a consistent approach under the Consilio banner. Partner with peers to develop and maintain standardized processes, identify areas for process improvement and execute on strategies to improve the process, coordinating process management across the entire stakeholder population and end-to-end process lifecycle, and ensuring adherence to standard process.
  • Budget Management – Forecast headcount needs and manage P&L in line with utilization and capacity planning targets.
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives – Coordinate with peers across the organization on strategic initiatives, including automation, integration, and new service offerings.
Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:   

  • Bachelor degree required

Minimum Experience Requirements:  

  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in related roles
  • Experience managing a large organization or team

Other Requirements:  

  • Proven experience leading a large operational team, including accountability for hiring, resource allocation, coaching, issue resolution, and client-facing support
  • Extensive Knowledge of Project Management as a discipline, especially as related to the eDiscovery industry
  • Extensive knowledge of the EDRM lifecycle
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Technology
  • Proven experience managing distributed work teams to tight timelines and high internal and external expectations
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operational metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
