Vice President II, Product Management – Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is foundational to how advisors, employees, and clients securely interact with LPL’s technology ecosystem. As Vice President II, Product Management – IAM, you will define and lead the enterprise IAM product strategy—shaping how secure, seamless access experiences are delivered across the firm.

This is a high‑impact leadership role for a senior product executive who thrives at the intersection of technology, security, risk, and user experience. You will influence enterprise priorities, guide long‑term investment decisions, and build scalable IAM product capabilities that enable LPL’s growth and modernization agenda.

Job Overview

Reporting into LPL’s Product organization, the VP II of Product Management for IAM owns the vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for enterprise identity and access capabilities. This leader partners closely with technology, cybersecurity, operations, risk, and business stakeholders to deliver IAM solutions that strengthen controls, improve usability, and support regulatory and operational excellence.

In addition to driving product outcomes, this role is responsible for building and maturing the IAM product management function, including operating models, talent strategy, and execution discipline as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the enterprise IAM product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap aligned to business priorities, user needs, and risk considerations.
  • Own strategic prioritization across IAM initiatives, platform evolution, modernization efforts, and long‑term investment decisions.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and business leaders to translate strategy into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross‑functional prioritization of features, enhancements, and platform capabilities based on business value, user impact, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Provide executive oversight for product delivery, release readiness, dependency management, and post‑release evaluation.
  • Monitor product performance, adoption, and control outcomes using data and stakeholder feedback to inform roadmap tradeoffs and continuous improvement.
  • Build and scale the IAM product management capability, including operating practices, governance, and ways of working.
  • Lead, coach, and develop product management talent, building a strong leadership bench within the IAM domain.
  • Represent the IAM product area with senior leaders, influencing enterprise priorities, funding decisions, and platform direction.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for a senior product leader who can bring clarity to complex, enterprise‑scale challenges and deliver outcomes that balance security, user experience, scalability, and business value.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a highly matrixed environment, demonstrates strong executive presence, and leads through influence rather than authority. They combine strategic thinking with disciplined execution and are energized by building durable product capabilities that enable the broader organization to succeed.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of product management experience leading enterprise platforms or technology‑enabled products at scale.
  • Experience defining product strategy and owning multi‑year roadmaps for complex, internal‑facing platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams across technology, security, risk, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience building, scaling, or leading product management teams and operating models.
  • Executive communication skills, including presenting strategy, roadmaps, and investment cases to senior leadership.

Preferences

  • Experience in Identity and Access Management, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform domains.
  • Familiarity with IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, access governance, and privileged access.
  • Exposure to IAM platforms such as Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience operating in regulated financial services or similarly complex environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
