W2 Only - Senior Business Analyst at Austin TX
Minimum Requirements:
4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area as a Senior Business Analyst (Technical).
2+ years of experience as a data analyst analyzing raw data using Excel, Tableau, etc.
4+ years of experience in each of the following areas:
Ability to mentor and provide consultation and direction to other staff.
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including regulations, policy, and automation system documentation/specifications.
Ability to communicate in writing, translating user/business needs into a technical style, and communicating technical instructions to system users.
Ability to plan and coordinate individual and group work activities.
Ability to detect and diagnose application problems.
Ability to create technical designs for solutions to problems.
Ability to work professionally with a broad range of stakeholders.
Ability to prepare concise business requirements, technical specifications documents, and related artifacts.
Skills and Qualifications:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the business analysis field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Experienced with business process re-engineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems.
Familiar with industry-standard business process mapping and re-engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and other data analysis tools.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex business analysis work, coordinating the gathering, development, and documentation of business requirements, and analyzing requirements management methodologies.
Identify issues and risks on projects and initiatives.
Develop test cases.
Provide training on projects and business processes.
Provide technical input on project documents.
Communicate business processes and workflow diagrams.
Identify business and project inefficiencies.
Document business processes and requirements.
Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Mentor and provide consultation and direction to other staff
