Minimum Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area as a Senior Business Analyst (Technical).

  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst analyzing raw data using Excel, Tableau, etc.

  • 4+ years of experience in each of the following areas:

  • Ability to mentor and provide consultation and direction to other staff.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including regulations, policy, and automation system documentation/specifications.

  • Ability to communicate in writing, translating user/business needs into a technical style, and communicating technical instructions to system users.

  • Ability to plan and coordinate individual and group work activities.

  • Ability to detect and diagnose application problems.

  • Ability to create technical designs for solutions to problems.

  • Ability to work professionally with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to prepare concise business requirements, technical specifications documents, and related artifacts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the business analysis field.

  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

  • Experienced with business process re-engineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems.

  • Familiar with industry-standard business process mapping and re-engineering.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and other data analysis tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex business analysis work, coordinating the gathering, development, and documentation of business requirements, and analyzing requirements management methodologies.

  • Identify issues and risks on projects and initiatives.

  • Develop test cases.

  • Provide training on projects and business processes.

  • Provide technical input on project documents.

  • Communicate business processes and workflow diagrams.

  • Identify business and project inefficiencies.

  • Document business processes and requirements.

  • Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.

  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

  • Mentor and provide consultation and direction to other staff
