Job Summary
The Wealth Advisor builds and maintains strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and their families through comprehensive financial planning, progressive investment strategies, and personalized service. This role analyzes each client’s financial circumstances and goals, recommends appropriate financial products and strategies, and conducts ongoing account reviews. The Wealth Advisor also drives practice and program growth through business development, community visibility, and collaboration with credit union leaders. The Wealth Advisor reports to the Program Manager.

Essential Functions
Client Relationship Management and Service
- Engages existing clients to deepen and maintain relationships and position the financial institution as the client’s primary provider for investment, banking, and borrowing needs.
- Develops relationships with clients’ families and beneficiaries, as appropriate, to support continuity of accounts and relationships as assets transfer between generations.
- Conducts periodic account reviews and meets with clients at least annually, or more frequently based on client needs, to update financial information and evaluate progress toward established objectives and goals.
- Collects client financial information in person or through approved remote channels, including assets, income, liabilities, cash flow, tax status, investment objectives, and goals.
Financial Planning and Investment Advice
- Analyzes client financial information, objectives, and goals to determine which financial products and strategies best align with individual needs and circumstances.
- Compares investment options, identifies potential investments and strategies, and evaluates market conditions and transaction timing for clients.
- Advises clients on the advantages and disadvantages of financial products and explains relevant investment, tax, and securities considerations.
- Executes purchases and sales of financial products resulting from financial advice and follows through on established activity, production, and sales goals.
Practice and Program Growth
- Collaborates with credit union executives, the Program Manager, and Financial Center Managers to implement business development initiatives and identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Develops and updates a business plan with the Program Manager and maintains consistent office hours.
- Maintains visibility with appropriate public audiences to attract and retain clients, including conducting educational workshops and seminars on topics such as Social Security, education planning, and retirement planning.
- Identifies and develops relationships with wholesalers and represents the firm and assigned financial institution with major clients, industry organizations, regulatory bodies, and other key external parties.
Professional Knowledge and Development
- Monitors and analyzes market conditions and remains current on financial and investment vehicles and their potential tax and securities consequences for clients.
- Completes required training and continuing education and maintains current knowledge of available investment products and services.
- Meets regularly with the Program Manager and participates in additional training as needed.
- Provides guidance on basic daily duties when assigned a sales associate or when partnering with an Investment Associate, consistent with organizational policies and applicable laws.

- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Completes required regulatory training as assigned.
- Maintains strict adherence to and compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls specific to the role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.
- Follows applicable credit union, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission, and broker-dealer rules and regulations.

Experience
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 or Series 65 licenses.
- State Life and Health Insurance licenses.
- Strong grasp of advanced financial planning concepts at a Certified Financial Planner or equivalent level.
- In-depth investment knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply sophisticated financial planning techniques related to wealth accumulation, protection, transfer, and tax efficiency.
- Must be bondable.
- Ability to satisfy required criminal history disclosure and fingerprinting requirements.
Preferred Requirements
- At least five years of licensed registered representative sales experience.
- Certified Financial Planner designation or a similar advanced professional designation.
