About the Position:

Checkmarx is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Full-Stack WordPress Developer. In this role, you’ll own the development and optimization of our public-facing digital properties. You’ll ensure that our website, landing pages, and portal are secure, high-performing and aligned with our brand and demand-generation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Checkmarx’s websites to align with company branding and growth objectives
  • Build and customize themes, templates, and plugins to support our lead generation, customer education, and product awareness
  • Implement and manage secure integrations with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and delivery tools
  • Ensure all web applications follow data privacy best practices, including secure coding standards and regular vulnerability scanning
  • Optimize sites for speed, SEO, and accessibility, with a focus on enterprise-level performance
  • Develop custom APIs or integrate external ones to support dynamic content and personalized user experiences
  • Maintain version control, staging environments, and local branches for reliable deployments
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, security, and integration issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field – or equivalent experience
  •  3+ years of experience as a Wordpress developer with both front-end and back-end expertise
  • Proficiency in: Languages:
  • PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, SQL,
  • Frameworks: React, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • Wordpress APIs: REST, WP CLI, custom hooks/filters
  • Experience managing MySQL databases and optimizing queries for performance
  • Understanding of web security best practices
  • Proficiency in version control and agile workflows
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
