LDSI is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Windows Systems Engineer to fill a critical operational role supporting our FedRAMP authorized SaaS application. We serve high profile customers including all branches of federal, state, and local government, as well as commercial clients.  Leidos DSI delivers industry-leading digital communications and workflow software along with excellent customer support.

In this role, you will use existing skills to monitor and manage day-to-day operations of the hosted application environment, focusing primarily on auditing, monitoring, and “OS and up” configuration. You will be working with a team of experienced engineers and our external service provider to ensure a smooth application experience for end users. You will work with internal teams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and directly with customers to configure new application instances. Consistency, adherence to procedure, and meticulous attention to detail will serve you well in this position.  Commitment to good configuration management is required. 

Forward planning for application hosting across our government customer markets will allow you to develop new skills. You will contribute to the ongoing architecture and design for current and future implementations. Required Skills:

The ideal candidate must possess strong system administration experience to include:

  • Windows Server support/maintenance, IIS, Group Policy and Active Directory expertise
  • DNS Management
  • Understanding of security compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53/FISMA/FedRAMP)
  • Software Deployment/System Implementation experience
  • SMTP Mail servers, protocols, reputation management and standards
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and change management best practices
  • Willingness/flexibility to perform weekend and after-hours system maintenance work
  • Strong problem solving/trouble-shooting skills
  • Strong customer service/team communication skills
  • The ability to document your work and organize information for the shared benefit of the larger team
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Other Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and/or similar ticketing system
  • DataGuard experience is a plus
  • Oracle Database Administration and Patch Management experience
  • AWS experience/knowledge, especially SysOps or Architect domains
  • Enterprise/Cloud Anti-virus solutions
  • SIEM solutions for Cloud environments

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or MS degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience.  Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pay Range:Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
