About the Role:
We are looking for a Workplace Experience Coordinator to join our growing People Experience team as we evolve our mission of making Redpanda a great place to work both remotely and in-person. Redpanda is a remote-first company that is investing in centers for collaboration across the globe in areas where we have a high number of teammates. This role would be working with our Manager of People Experience to co-design a best-in-class Workplace Experience that enables our teammates to do their best work whether they are working from home or from a Redpanda office.
This is an on-site role in our Austin office, with quarterly travel to other locations (domestic and international) to support office build-outs and events. This role is perfect for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, like to focus on the details, and enjoy bringing a mix of warmth, creativity and joy in every interaction. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting scrappy and making a high impact with a DIY mentality.
If you’re the person in your community who is always going way overboard at the costume party or the person who is going out of their way to make small milestones feel like momentous celebrations, this job might be up your alley.
You Will:
Workplace & Facilities Operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day office operations across all locations (approx. 20 employees per location)
- Own the full vendor lifecycle (janitorial, catering, security, maintenance): from procurement and budget tracking to relationship management and contract renewals
- Ensure all physical spaces are "tour-ready," functional, and stocked; manage conference room scheduling and AV support for high-stakes meetings
- Partner with IT and People Experience on space planning, moves/adds/changes (MAC), and ergonomic requests
- Maintain the workplace ticketing queue with a focus on high-quality, <24-hour responses
People Experience & Community
- Lead on-site onboarding logistics: workspace setup, swag, and Day 1 welcomes
- Plan and execute 2–4 monthly events, including bi-weekly all-hands, catered lunches, and cultural celebrations
- Act as a key partner for People team initiatives, including wellness programs, engagement surveys, and Employee Resource Group event support
Systems & Visitor Experience
- Oversee front desk operations, including visitor check-in, badge management, and enforcement of security protocols
- Design playbooks; proactively identify and drive 2–3 process improvement initiatives per quarter
- Track and report on workplace metrics (utilization rates, ticket volume, and satisfaction) to guide real estate decisions
You Have:
- 3–5 years of experience in workplace operations, people experience, office management, or a related people-facing role
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and vendors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization including senior leadership
- Experience building programs and initiatives from ideation through to implementation
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort with workplace tools (Slack, Jira, Confluence, or similar ITSM/ticketing systems)
- High degree of responsibility, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks related to event setup and office operations
- Ability to travel to other office locations approximately once per quarter, domestically and internationally
Nice to Have:
- Experience at a high-growth technology company or a similarly fast-paced environment
- Event planning or project management experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
U.S. base salary for this role is $75,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. As a remote-first company, we strive to consider each candidate's job-related skills, location, experience, relevant education or training to determine individual base salary. Your talent partner will share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Join Redpanda if you’d enjoy being part of a fast-moving, diverse, people-first organization with team members around the globe and a culture based on trust, transparency, communication, and kindness.
