Own mechanical aircraft subsystems from concept through design, prototyping, integration, ground testing, flight testing, and deployment. Design structural and mechanical components, lead subsystem reviews, analyze loads and flight environments, iterate designs using test data, and partner with manufacturing to ensure scalability and reliability.

Lead architecture, design, integration, testing, and flight validation of critical autonomous aircraft structures and hardware. Own systems from concept through production, perform sizing, loads analysis, and trade studies, resolve interfaces across structures, avionics, propulsion, and payload systems, and partner with manufacturing on scalable designs. Lead architecture and interface tradeoffs, coordinate bench, simulation, ground, and flight testing, investigate anomalies, and verify corrective actions. Improve engineering standards, documentation, reviews, and verification practices while mentoring other engineers. Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, flight test, manufacturing, reliability, and operations teams on autonomous aircraft systems.

Own the architecture and technical direction of a software stack spanning 3D mission-planning interfaces, backend services, telemetry infrastructure, and autonomous aircraft software. Lead safety-critical C++ and ArduPilot work, scale fleet systems, establish engineering standards, drive cross-functional technical plans, apply AI tools, and mentor engineers. The role requires hands-on expertise across Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, C++, distributed systems, and software interacting with real-world hardware.

Owns end-to-end software capabilities across 3D mission planning, Python backend services, telemetry infrastructure, and autonomous aircraft systems. Builds reliable APIs, data pipelines, and fleet operations tooling; develops C++ changes in an ArduPilot fork; scales telemetry systems; applies AI; and partners with robotics, avionics, hardware, and flight operations teams through simulation and flight testing.

As Director of Hardware, you will lead the aircraft hardware execution from design to production, ensuring quality and reliability through collaboration with manufacturing and software teams.

As Director of Software, you will lead software execution for UAV systems, managing teams and hands-on coding, ensuring reliable feature delivery and scaling operations.
