Description

VAST Data is looking to hire an Account Executive – AI & Analytics to join our growing team!

VAST Data is defining an entirely new category in enterprise infrastructure by building the world’s first Operating System for AI.

For decades, organizations have relied on fragmented data architectures—separate systems for storage, databases, data lakes, messaging, analytics, and AI pipelines. VAST has reimagined this model by unifying these capabilities into a single intelligent software platform purpose-built for the AI era.

As one of the fastest-growing enterprise software companies in the world, VAST helps leading organizations modernize their data environments, accelerate analytics and AI initiatives, and unlock greater value from their data.

Joining VAST means becoming part of a team that isn’t building another database or analytics product—we’re redefining how organizations capture, process, analyze, and activate data at scale.

The Role:

As an Account Executive for the AI & Analytics team, you will create, develop, and close strategic opportunities for VAST’s data and analytics platform.

This is a true hunter role for someone who can build pipeline, break into new accounts, and create demand for a fundamentally different approach to enterprise data. You will engage executive and technical leaders, uncover data modernization and AI initiatives, and position VAST as a unified platform for large-scale data processing and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Build pipeline and win new customers through strategic prospecting, account-based selling, executive engagement, and partner relationships.
  • Identify and develop opportunities across data modernization, analytics, AI/ML, data engineering, and real-time data processing.
  • Own complex sales cycles from initial discovery and technical evaluation through negotiation, close, and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with data, analytics, AI, engineering, and executive leaders, translating VAST’s technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop strategic account plans and collaborate with sales, engineering, product, and partner teams to deliver compelling customer solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting while providing market insights that strengthen VAST’s positioning and go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
  • Proven success exceeding quota in enterprise technology sales, with a strong record of new logo acquisition and pipeline generation.
  • Experience selling complex data platforms, databases, analytics, AI/ML, cloud data services, or related enterprise software.
  • Hunter mentality with the resilience and determination to create demand and win complex, competitive deals.
  • Strong understanding of modern data environments and the ability to engage both executive decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic account-planning skills and experience managing long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and comfortable helping build a market in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
