A KXAN Marketing Consultant is a strategic sales professional responsible for generating advertising revenue through Broadcast Television, OTT/Streaming, and Digital Marketing solutions. In this role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, uncover client marketing needs, create customized advertising strategies, and oversee campaign execution and performance.


As a trusted marketing advisor, you will partner with business owners and advertising agencies to deliver innovative campaigns that drive measurable results while building long-term client relationships and generating revenue growth for KXAN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and in-market visits.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to assess client goals, challenges, and marketing needs.
  • Develop and present customized broadcast, streaming, and digital advertising solutions.
  • Launch, manage, and optimize campaigns from proposal through renewal.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication and performance reviews.
  • Increase revenue through renewals, upselling opportunities, and new campaign initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal sales support, strategy, creative, and research teams to deliver exceptional client results.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Serve as a trusted marketing resource within the local business community.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital advertising and media sales.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including OTT/Streaming, paid media, and online advertising solutions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish long-term client partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time-management abilities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or media.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Sales, marketing, media, or advertising experience preferred, but not required.
