North American power markets are changing faster than at any time in a generation. Data center and large-load growth, interconnection reform, rapid storage built-out, and market redesigns in North America are reshaping prices and revenues, and developers, utilities, lenders, and investors need independent, bankable analysis to act. Aurora is investing to meet that demand. You will drive business for our software, advisory, and research services across ERCOT, PJM, SPP, MISO, CAISO/WECC, NYISO, ISO-NE, SERC, Alberta and Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and exceed an annual new-ARR quote through full-cycle sales, from prospecting to signature
  • Build pipeline across developers, IPPs, utilities, lenders, infrastructure and PE funds, and large-load players
  • Qualify rigorously using the BANT methodology before demos, keep Salesforce accurate, and forecast reliably
  • Lead tailored software demonstrations that map Aurora’s platform to each client’s investment and operating decisions, and convert advisory work into recurring subscriptions
  • Turn Group Meetings, webinars, roadshows, and conferences into qualified pipeline
  • Partner with market leads, research, and product teams, and feed client insight back into what we build

What we are looking for
Required attributes:
  • 3+ years in a SaaS quota-bearing individual contributor role, with a track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with senior decision makers
  • Disciplined pipeline management and forecasting, with daily fluency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Clear, confident communication and the presence to challenge and advise senior clients
  • Self-directed and organized, motivated by both individual and team targets
Desirable attributes:
  • Energy industry experience, or selling data or analytics into energy, infrastructure, or finance
  • Knowledge of North American power markets: nodal pricing, congestion, basis, capacity, and interconnection
  • An existing network among developers, IPPs, utilities, lenders, or infrastructure investors
  • Exposure to project finance, tax equity, or M&A processes
  • Practical use of AI tools and workflows to sharpen research, prospecting, account planning, and follow-up
We strongly encourage women and candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. There is evidence that people from under-represented groups may be less likely to apply unless they meet virtually every selection criterion. We urge candidates who meet at least some of the criteria to consider applying, especially if you are passionate about climate, energy, economics, data analytics, software, strategy, or consulting – there’s a role that’ll fit you at Aurora.

What we offer
  • The opportunity to learn how major players in the energy sector view the evolution of power markets and make strategic investment decisions accordingly
  • The opportunity to develop deep understanding of investment processes such as capital raising, portfolio strategy & management, and transactions
  • Direct engagement with clients across the energy industry through Aurora conferences, workshops and webinars
  • A fun, informal, collaborative, and international work culture
  • A competitive salary package
  • Access to regular coaching & mentoring sessions and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals
  • A brand-new office space in the vibrant and culturally rich East Austin area
  • Access to the Aurora Academy, our training program, offers a range of opportunities to develop your skills within the responsibilities of your role and within the wider context of the industry
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering a complete support network that offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7/365, covering a wide range of personal and professional aspects
The Company is committed to the principle that no employee or job applicant shall receive unfavorable treatment on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity.
