This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join their fully remote team and support the accuracy, efficiency, and organization of their financial operations. Their company operates in the commercial real estate technology space and has experienced strong growth in recent years by expanding their solutions and strengthening their presence in the market.

In this role, the Accounting Specialist will play a key part in managing essential accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting billing operations, and contributing insights for better financial planning. The ideal candidate is someone with hands-on experience in accounting systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial information with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete billing process through their designated billing platform, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Support financial forecasting activities and conduct variance analysis to help identify trends and improve decision-making.
  • Accurately categorize and code financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, including the use of multiple classes for detailed reporting and tracking.
  • Process invoices and accounts efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Review financial information and collaborate with internal teams to validate data, investigate discrepancies, and support process improvements.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and contribute to the overall efficiency of financial workflows.


Requirements
  • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online in a professional accounting environment.
  • Experience managing transactions with multiple classes and complex account structures within QuickBooks.
  • Previous experience using Harvest or a similar time-tracking and billing management platform.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities in a remote work environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, billing, or financial operations roles.
  • Experience handling billing cycles, invoice processing, and transaction reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and support financial reporting.
  • Comfortable working with accounting software and digital tools.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and ownership of assigned tasks.
