Alteryx Digital Representative (Territory Overlay)

Position Overview

The Alteryx Digital Representative is a hybrid pipeline-generation and account overlay role aligned with Strategic and Enterprise Account Executives. While you will manage renewals and expansion within an assigned territory, your primary mission is active prospecting: opening new lines of business, cold/warm outbound mapping, and aggressively hunting whitespace within high-value enterprise accounts.

This role requires a proactive, hunter mindset capable of independently running land-and-expand sales cycles, converting digital plays into active opportunities, and driving sales velocity.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Generation & Prospecting (Primary Focus)

  • Hunt & Map Whitespace: Proactively prospect into unmapped business units, subsidiaries, and departments within assigned Enterprise/Strategic accounts to establish new footholds.
  • Outbound Execution: Execute targeted digital sales plays, multi-channel outreach campaigns, and cold/warm prospecting to identify new analytics use cases and buying personas.
  • Discovery & Value Mapping: Run rigorous discovery calls to surface customer pain points, match business objectives with Alteryx solutions, and qualify high-velocity opportunities.
  • Run Autonomous Sales Cycles: Manage independent end-to-end expansion opportunities (under $50K), running product conversations, value demonstrations, and commercial negotiations from qualification through close.

Territory Overlay & Strategic Partnership

  • AE Co-Selling & Strategy: Partner closely with Strategic and Enterprise AEs to build territory growth strategies, identify target expansion areas, and accelerate overall deal momentum.
  • Opportunity Activation: Turn usage data, product telemetry, and trial signals into actionable, highly qualified pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, Marketing, and Partners to execute targeted campaigns, evaluate customer pilot programs, and navigate deals efficiently through Legal and Deal Desk.

Renewal & Account Growth

  • Commercial Ownership: Manage and close renewal contracts for assigned accounts ($100K–$250K ATR segment), using the renewal process as a strategic touchpoint to uncover further expansion.
  • Risk Mitigation & Negotiation: Proactively address customer objections, conduct commercial negotiations, and ensure alignment to protect baseline ARR and unlock land-and-expand potential.
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate forecasting, deal stage tracking, and pipeline metrics in Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience (Digital AE, SMB/Mid-Market AE, Inside Sales, or High-Performing SDR/BDR with closing experience).
  • Proven track record of outbound prospecting, cold-calling, account mapping, and pipeline creation in a target-driven GTM environment.
  • Strong closing skills: Demonstrated capability in running autonomous discovery, handling objections, and negotiating contracts.
  • Expertise leveraging Salesforce, modern sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft), and conversation intelligence tools.
  • Competitive, coachable, resilient, and highly motivated by uncapped commission and pipeline growth.
  • Ability to travel 10–25% as needed.
