Title and Summary
Associate Managing Consultant, Advisors & Consulting Services, Deploy
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client's organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
You will manage a portfolio of projects that support a strategy, a strategic change, or initiative with significant impact on the organization. You will manage complexity and inherent risks across a wide range of business areas, where there are strong interdependencies and shared resources, and you will manage benefits from their initial identification and definition through to the eventual realization and achievement of measurable improvements.
In addition to strong program and change management expertise, this role requires essential product and portfolio capability, particularly in cards, payments, or adjacent financial products.
You will be responsible not only for delivery excellence, but also for analysing cards/payments portfolio performance, benchmarking outcomes, and translating insights into product, portfolio, and commercial recommendations for clients.
Client Impact• Manage deliverable development and workstreams on multiple large, complex high-value projects across a range of industries, problem statements, and cultures• Utilize proven, accredited project and change management methodologies and techniques to help clients drive measurable value• Define scope, timelines, budget and perform cost, benefit, and risk analyses• Report on issues, risks, progress, and timelines and summarize effectively, offering analysis, options, and credible solutions• Manage working relationships with client managers, and act as trusted and reliable partner • Execute portfolio level analysis across programs, products, or initiatives, including performance, progress, risks, and value delivered. • Analyze and benchmark portfolio performance against historical baselines, peer programs, and relevant industry or market benchmarks. • Develop executive level dashboards, scorecards, and trend & insights to support fact based decision making. • Use data and performance insights to recommend portfolio optimization actions, prioritization changes, or product and initiative refinements.• Apply product and portfolio thinking when leading programs, particularly in cards, payments, or financial services contexts.• Translate business strategy and client objectives into clear product, portfolio, and delivery roadmaps.• Provide structured recommendations on product performance, customer outcomes, and portfolio economics, beyond pure delivery metrics.• Support clients in linking program delivery to customer impact, revenue growth, cost efficiency, and long-term portfolio value.
Team Collaboration & Culture• Lead team to creative insights and sound business recommendations, and deliver impactful and influential client presentations while growing team members' roles and skills• Provide expertise and day-to-day project delivery team leadership, supporting evolution of solutions with innovation and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels • Manage relationships with internal Mastercard leadership and stakeholders and build the firm's intellectual capital• Effectively leverage subject matter experts to develop best customized solutions• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members, including evaluating performance, and providing feedback
Qualifications
Basic qualifications• Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques• 6+ years of Project Management experience/7+ Cards Product & Payments and Portfolio Management experience• Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies• Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders • Logical, structured thinking• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills• Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
Preferred qualifications• Experience leading development and implementation of solutions and measuring impact on clients' business• Experience managing or analyzing product or portfolio performance (e.g. cards, payments, banking products).• Strong capability in portfolio analytics, benchmarking, and performance reporting.• Experience leading programs linked to product launches, portfolio optimization, or commercial transformation.• Have completed or interested in pursuing recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)• Knowledge of Project Management tools• Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm• MBA or master's degree with relevant specialization (not required)
