The Bookkeeper will maintain financial records, process payments and payroll, prepare reports, analyze metrics, and ensure compliance with regulations.
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US financial record-keeping, reconciliation, and reporting across a range of industries and business types. QuickBooks Pro and Xero Certifications are highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, payments, and payroll, and reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, generate insights on financial activities, and create charts, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to executives and stakeholders.
- Analyze key metrics, identify trends, and research market conditions, competitor strategies, and industry benchmarks to support strategic planning.
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize operations, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting while building and maintaining spreadsheets to streamline financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, contributing to efficient and transparent financial management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro and Xero (certifications preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
