About GigSafe

A credentialing gap or an uninsured worker isn't just an HR headache here – it's a liability that can shut down a business.

GigSafe is a contractor management platform built for gig and last-mile delivery operations. We are building infrastructure for the future of 1099 work that helps companies pay independent contractors accurately, on time, and in compliance.

This is a big problem. A large market. And we're early. Come build with us.

Role Overview

GigSafe is looking for a Business Operations Manager to be the connective tissue across the business. This is not a passive coordination role: you'll drive follow-through, keep cross-functional work unblocked, and build the operational infrastructure that helps a fast-moving startup scale without losing ground.

You'll touch nearly every function at GigSafe, from GTM and customer success to compliance, product, engineering, and finance. You'll report to the VP of Operations and Strategy and work closely with leadership across the company to make sure the right things are getting done, by the right people, at the right time.

This role is right for someone who is Type A to the core, AI-forward, and energized by making complex organizations run better.

Responsibilities
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Strategy: Partner with the leadership team to translate business operations priorities into actionable plans, then own the execution: tracking dependencies, chasing down action items, and making sure work doesn't fall through the cracks across GTM, CS, compliance, product, engineering, finOps, and support.

  • Process Building and Documentation: Identify gaps in how work gets done and build lightweight, practical solutions. Document SOPs so processes are repeatable, searchable, and don't live in anyone's head

  • Compliance Documentation Support: Help operationalize compliance processes, including documenting decisions from the compliance committee and building a more reliable repository of operational knowledge as the company scales

  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Own GigSafe's operational knowledge base: SOPs, cross-functional process documentation, compliance committee decisions, and and building a reliable repository of operational knowledge as the company scales

  • Tools and Systems Ownership: Manage and improve the internal tool stack, including Asana, Notion, Slack, and Attio. Identify automation opportunities and build them, don't just flag them

  • Enablement Support: Help leadership deliver product, customer, and compliance-related enablement across the organization, making it easier for teams to do their jobs without everything running through one person

  • Meeting and Reporting Support: Prepare materials for internal meetings, business reviews, and reporting cycles. Take clear notes, capture decisions, and make sure actions are tracked and followed up on

  • Up-Managing with Confidence: Push senior stakeholders when timelines slip, deliverables stall, or dependencies aren't being resolved. You'rei collaborative, but you hold the line

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, project coordination, program management, or a similar cross-functional role

  • Genuinely organized: you have systems for everything and you don't let things slip

  • Comfortable pushing back up the chain: you can press for follow-through with senior stakeholders without losing trust or creating friction

  • AI-forward and automation-minded: you use AI assistants and other tools to work faster and smarter, and you look for opportunities to automate documentation and repetitive work

  • Fast, independent learner: you figure things out with Google, AI, and first principles before asking someone else

  • Strong written and verbal communicator across functions and seniority levels

  • Proficient with project management and collaboration tools: Asana, Notion, Slack, and CRM platforms; Attio experience is a plus

  • High attention to detail and follow-through: you close the loop without being asked

Preferred

  • Experience at a startup or high-growth company, especially at a similar stage

  • Background in consulting, banking, or a structured analytical program

  • Exposure to compliance, logistics, or workforce management environments

  • Tech project management experience or familiarity with engineering workflows (Jira, Linear)

What We Value

Startup Mentality: You're energized by ambiguity, not slowed down by it. When the playbook doesn't exist, you write it. You move fast, stay adaptable, and don't need perfect conditions to make progress.

Give a Sh*t: You care about the work, the customers, the contractors on the platform, and the people sitting next to you. You hold yourself to a high standard not because someone's watching, but because mediocrity bothers you.

Ownership: You treat the company's success as your own, because it is. You take responsibility for outcomes and close the loop without being asked. When something's broken, you fix it, even if it's not your job.

Collaborative: You make the people around you better. Low ego, high trust, and emotionally intelligent. You communicate directly, share credit generously, and don't create unnecessary friction for your teammates.

Critical Thinker: You connect dots, figure things out, and bring solutions, not just problems. You're resourceful and intellectually curious, and you don't need hand-holding to do great work.

Benefits
  • Health, Dental & Vision: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents

  • Unlimited PTO: Flexible time off plus paid company holidays

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary with opportunities for performance-based bonuses

  • 401(k): Retirement savings plan

  • Equity: Stock options giving employees a meaningful stake in GigSafe's growth

  • Parental Leave: Paid leave for all new parents
