The Summer Intern will assist the Cloud Platform Engineering team by implementing and managing cloud infrastructure using GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes, while collaborating on CI/CD workflows and optimizing cloud environments.
This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Implement solutions in container orchestration with Kubernetes (k8s).
- Implementing and supporting GCP technology stack services including computer engines, cloud storage, Kubernetes engine, Cloud functions, and more.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish best practices for CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, IaC, and GitOps.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preference will be given to students who have completed their Junior or Senior years and who have previous internship or work experience.
- Understanding the Google Cloud Platform or Equivalent Cloud technology.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/Terra Grunt.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Good Knowledge on Cloud networking will be a plus.
- Knowledge on SRE best practices will be a plus.
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September)

The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
