Description
The Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (ERP) Senior Consultant is responsible for consulting on Dynamics 365 ERP engagements including: implementation, upgrade, and/or extension of existing applications. The Senior Consultant is responsible for hands-on configuration of Dynamics 365 ERP Trade and Logistics modules as well as for assisting clients in the implementation and support of Dynamics 365 ERP solutions. They will be involved in improving operational metrics, business case development and performance measurement. They will provide functional knowledge and manage client relationships within context of individual role. Position requires up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction
- Facilitate the implementation and support of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management modules including but not limited to Procurement & Sourcing, Sales & Marketing, & Inventory Management.
- Conduct in-depth discussion with clients to understand their warehouse management processes, identify pain points, and gather detailed business requirements.
- Design and document functional specifications for warehouse operations within Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put-away, and inventory counting.
- Configure and customize Dynamics 365 warehouse management module based on the defined requirements, including setting up warehouse locations, reservation hierarchy, wave, work, location directives, mobile device and labels.
- Plan and execute data migration strategies to transfer existing warehouse data into the Dynamics 365 system.
- Develop and execute functional test cases to ensure the warehouse solution meets business needs and performs as expected.
- Provide comprehensive training to business process owners on the warehouse management functionalities within Dynamics 365, including system navigation, configuration, process, and key features.
- Assist clients with their Dynamics 365 operation, including go-live activities, troubleshooting issues, and providing post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business requirements and conduct gap analysis
- Produce Functional Design Documents when extensions are necessary
- Communicate effectively in all mediums and to all levels internally and externally
- Successful implementation of practical business solutions using industry best practices as the Supply Chain lead on a project
- Lead successful modeling and process area showcase sessions
- Ensure success of projects by coaching or mentoring junior consultants
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years Dynamics 365 (AX) Supply Chain Management experience or equivalent industry work
- Minimum of 2 full years staffed on Dynamics 365 (AX) implementations
- Certification in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (MB-330), or attainment of certification within first 90 days of employment.
- Working knowledge of industry specific best practices
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Excellent communication, planning and organization skills
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in English
- Valid Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 or AX2012 a plus
- Exposure to Advanced Warehousing, finance, or production D365 modules
- Comfortable presenting via Microsoft Teams/Zoom/WebEx
- Azure DevOps & Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services experience
