Lextech is looking to add a Data Architect to the team.  A Data Architect brings value and leadership throughout the organization and will be expected to serve in the following areas.  This contract is expected to 5 months, with a possible extension through the end of year. 

Skills/Competencies & Education

These are the characteristics that we look for in people who can effectively fill the role:

Must Have Technical Skills

  • 7+ years progressively complicated database experience
  • Experience with writing SQL, Python, performing data analysis
  • Experience working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySql, and RDS Aurora
  • Experience with data modeling, creating tables, indexes, views, and have a solid understanding of how relational databases work
  • Experience loading data from source files into relational databases
  • Experience migrating database changes between environments

Required Analysis Skills

  • Experience working with business users, project stakeholders, and technical system experts to map data requirements back to the application source systems
  • Experience creating data requirements derived from screen designs, user stories, and desired scope requests, and mapping the data needs to application source systems
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data from reports, source systems, and data source files
  • Experience managing and creating data mapping documentation between systems
  • Ability to work with the project team, product owners to prioritize business and data needs

Bonus Technical Skills

  • Familiar with AWS Glue, and/or other cloud based ETL tools
  • Experience with JSON files and formats
  • Experience using API testing tools like Postman
  • Experience querying SalesForce using Workbench
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambdas, and Athena
  • Experience with Python

Responsibilities:

Every day, these are the things that the person in this role will do successfully:

  • Work with product stakeholders and technical SMEs to understand the relation between business objectives, workflow and enterprise data
  • Create and present technical proposals to a client Architecture Control Board
  • Data sourcing and mapping with a focus on data quality, security, integrity
  • Explore and analyze enterprise data sets
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems, assess risks
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot data-related issues, translating technical challenges into business context
  • Communicate data needs and issues to the project team and product stakeholders
