Sweatpals is the community-first fitness platform turning workouts into social experiences. Backed by a16z speedrun, Patron, Kevin Hart, Pear VC, founders of Instacart and Dreamworks Animations, we connect hundreds of thousands of “pals,” hosts, and gyms through events, memberships, and social features. We’re still scrappy at heart, but scaling fast.
We believe working out should be joyful, social, and inclusive - not just a solo grind. From run clubs and beach pilates to pickleball leagues and cold plunge socials, Sweatpals turns everyday workouts into meaningful social experiences.
Sweatpals also gives local leaders the tools to grow their fitness communities from side hustles to full-time, even multi-million-dollar businesses. Hosts use our platform to run their business - from ticketing and memberships to marketing tools.
We're an AI-forward company - If you're excited about working at the intersection of data, product, and growth, you'll fit right in.
The RoleRemote | EU Timezone
We're looking for a Data & Growth Analyst to own the analytics backbone of our marketplace. You'll sit within the AI Squad, reporting to the Head of AI, but your work will directly support Product and Growth decisions.
This is a high-ownership role where you'll shape how we measure success, run experiments, and make decisions.
You'll spend your time on problems like:
Why do hosts in Austin retain better than LA?
Which discovery surfaces actually drive bookings?
Where are users dropping off in the funnel — and why?
Which acquisition channels bring the highest-quality users?
How do we measure CAC → payback → LTV reliably across channels?
Own and evolve our marketing attribution framework across web + mobile (GA4, Appsflyer) — we recently discovered 40%+ of sessions were misattributed, and there's more to untangle
Build reliable source-of-truth dashboards for marketplace health, channel performance, and user behavior
Define and instrument key product and growth metrics (activation, conversion, retention, repeat bookings)
Establish our experimentation practice — from hypothesis to analysis and decision-making
Partner with product and engineering to run rigorous A/B tests across discovery, conversion, and retention flows
Create lightweight experiment templates, review processes, and documentation standards
Analyze user and host behavior across cities, cohorts, and segments
Build cohort-based LTV and payback analysis by channel, city, and segment
Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for product, growth, and leadership
Monitor and report on SEO performance using Google Search Console, GA4, and SEMrush
Identify technical SEO issues (landing page health, schema, indexing, 404s) and translate them into prioritized engineering tickets
Measure impact after fixes ship and help the team build an SEO experimentation loop
Partner with the Head of AI to evaluate the impact of AI-powered features (recommendations, search) using clear metrics and experimentation
Use AI tools daily to accelerate analysis, debugging, and documentation
Help the team adopt faster analytics workflows using AI agents and modern tooling
~3-5 years in product analytics, growth analytics, or a similar role
Background in marketplaces or consumer apps where you've run meaningful A/B tests
Comfort working in a startup environment with ambiguity and fast iteration
Strong SQL — you write complex queries daily, not occasionally
Python for analysis (pandas, notebooks) — not expected to be a software engineer, but can wrangle data
Experience with: BigQuery, Looker or Metabase, Amplitude, GA4
Bonus: Appsflyer (or another mobile MMP), Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs
You use AI tools proactively — ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, whatever gets the job done faster
You care about data quality and will dig into pipelines when numbers look off
You can translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
You're comfortable being the first dedicated analyst and building processes from scratch
You understand our core funnels, marketplace dynamics, and tracking setup
You ship at least one source-of-truth dashboard and fix at least one major data quality issue
You establish a clear metrics definition doc that Product and Growth align on
Attribution reporting is materially cleaner and trusted by Growth
You've supported multiple A/B tests end-to-end (design → analysis → decision)
You've delivered at least 2 insights that directly change roadmap priorities or marketing spend
Experimentation is a consistent habit across teams (not an occasional event)
Leadership uses your dashboards as the default source of truth
You've built a reliable foundation for channel quality, LTV, and SEO performance measurement
Ownership: You'll build the analytics function, not inherit someone else's dashboards
AI-native culture: Work with a team that actually ships fast and uses AI daily
Impact: Your work directly influences a marketplace serving millions of users
Flexibility: Remote-first, async-friendly, EU timezone
Compensation: Competitive salary + early-stage equity
Celebrate Diversity of Thought: We embrace different backgrounds, opinions, and ways of thinking. We don’t just welcome disagreement—we believe it makes the product better.
Be a Leader: We take initiative, speak up, and drive things forward—no matter your title. Leadership is a mindset, not a level.
Roll Up Our Sleeves: We do what it takes. No job is too small when we’re building something big.
Embrace Adventure: We stay curious, push boundaries, and see challenges as opportunities. Startups are a rollercoaster—and we’re here for the ride.
Make Excellence the Baseline: We hold a high bar for quality and follow through—doing great work is the starting point, not the finish line.
We’re still early - which means your work will shape our path and our impact on communities and businesses everywhere. If you’re excited by challenge, autonomy, and building something that matters, you’ll feel at home here.
