Job summary

NXP is seeking a Global HR Business Partner to the senior engineering executives and their management teams spread across North America, Europe, and Asia; a strategic individual who brings enterprise thinking and systems perspective to advise & influence, design & operationalize people strategies in a high growth, rapidly transforming, complex business environment. This role requires high drive, high expectations and efficient execution as it enables the business to meet its performance potential, deliver short-term results and long-lasting impact through people and people strategies.

Job description

  • Acts as a strategic thought partner to the executive leaders and management teams, leveraging broad understanding of the business, deep insights, and foresight to shape and drive the strategic people agenda. Engages in high-level strategic discussions to align people strategies and dive deep into the analysis, practical application, and execution. 

  • Connects the dots between the overall business direction, financial reality, and impact of people decisions to influence the right business choices to fulfill business objectives.

  • Design and execute modern talent strategy, focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to meet current and future business needs. Develops innovative talent management practices that align with the organization's vision and objectives.

  • Ability to pivot strategies & plans and execute with agility in response to emerging workforce trends, financial needs, and business priorities. Proactively anticipates risks related to people & organizational dynamics and provides mitigation and contingency plans as part of the strategic planning process.

  • Contributes to innovation and efficiency goals of the business unit by translating business needs into strategic plans related to skills and capabilities, leadership development, diversity & inclusion, change mgmt., and culture agenda. Understands and navigates global complexities, ensuring that people strategies are globally relevant, culturally sensitive, and locally compliant.

  • Acts as the voice of the business in the HR function to ensure business needs are represented. And collaborate with several HR partners, CoEs (centers of excellence), and Ops to develop and deploy effective HR Solutions that solve complex problems.

  • Acts as key strategic HR lead, consultant, and coach to senior business leaders to enable the development of their people leadership capabilities, management excellence and maximize their impact on all people related topics in support of the business.

  • Approach business problems with a data-informed mind-set. Use and analyze data and trends to inform guidance to business leadership and to measure progress: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions.

  • Builds/designs and executes:

    • Strategic workforce planning

    • Organization design, leadership development and succession planning

    • Workforce engagement and change management

    • High-performance culture and pay-for-performance rewards

    • Relevant workforce trends which will impact the business

    • Contribute ideas, time and effort towards cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide initiatives that help NXP perform, transform, and grow.

Skills & experiences required for success in this role -

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in multiple domains of HR (for ex. talent and culture, recruiting, compensation, people analytics, Operations etc.) including at least 5 years in global business partner capacity with successful demonstration of the key responsibilities presented above.

  • Ability to influence sr. executives, leadership & management teams through information sharing, coaching and consultation.

  • Knowledge and ability to think critically about how people, processes and technology jointly impact employee experience and business outcomes.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including problem solving, collaboration, and relationship building.

  • Design and facilitate trainings, information sharing sessions and team building activities.

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, high growth, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to excel strategically, operationally, and tactically.

  • Global travel required per business needs.
