Position Summary

Ichor Systems is seeking an experienced Director, Global Logistics, Trade & Supply Chain Compliance to lead the company's global logistics strategy, trade compliance program, Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation, and supply chain compliance initiatives.

 

This senior leadership role is responsible for improving logistics performance, reducing landed cost, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening supply chain resilience, and enabling scalable global operations across a complex semiconductor manufacturing environment.

 

The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with deep expertise in international transportation, customs and export compliance, tariff management, supplier risk, and business process transformation. This individual must be comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational levels while partnering closely with executive leadership and global functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Global Logistics Leadership

  • Lead Ichor's global transportation and logistics services across domestic and international business activities.
  • Develop logistics strategies that improve cost, service, delivery performance, visibility, and supply chain responsiveness.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
  • Drive freight optimization initiatives including network design, mode selection, consolidation, carrier strategy, and premium freight reduction.
  • Develop logistics KPIs, reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cost improvement programs.

Trade Compliance & Customs Strategy

  • Lead and continuously improve Ichor's global trade compliance program.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable import, export, customs, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee classification, licensing, restricted party screening, recordkeeping, customs compliance, and related governance activities.
  • Monitor evolving trade regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and export control requirements impacting the semiconductor supply chain.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to develop tariff mitigation and duty recovery strategies.

Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Program Leadership

  • Lead Ichor's FTZ activation initiative and transition the program into sustainable operations.
  • Establish policies, controls, governance processes, training, and operating procedures supporting FTZ compliance.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and external stakeholders to integrate FTZ requirements into business processes.
  • Drive ongoing utilization, compliance, and financial benefits from FTZ operations.

Supply Chain Compliance & Risk Management

  • Lead supplier compliance and supply chain risk management programs across the global supply base.
  • Strengthen supplier visibility, risk assessment, responsible sourcing, and resilience capabilities.
  • Oversee supplier compliance activities supporting responsible minerals reporting, forced labor requirements, supplier due diligence, and customer compliance obligations.
  • Partner with Procurement, Quality, IT, and Operations to proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks.

Systems, Analytics & Business Transformation

  • Develop technology roadmaps supporting logistics, trade compliance, supplier compliance, and supply chain visibility.
  • Improve data quality, automation, reporting, and decision support capabilities.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to implement logistics, compliance, and analytics solutions.
  • Develop executive dashboards and metrics providing visibility into logistics performance, tariff exposure, compliance risk, and supplier resilience.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a global team while providing matrix leadership across multiple regions and functions.
  • Build strong partnerships across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, IT, Quality, and executive leadership.
  • Translate complex regulatory and operational issues into practical business recommendations.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve cost, compliance, operational performance, and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Compliance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, international trade compliance, customs, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and complex cross-functional programs.
  • Strong knowledge of global transportation, customs operations, international logistics, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations including EAR, HTSUS, ECCN, export licensing, Customs compliance, AES filings, sanctions, and restricted party screening.
  • Experience managing freight providers, customs brokers, trade partners, and third-party service providers.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex business transformation or systems implementation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within semiconductor, electronics, precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Foreign Trade Zone activation and operational experience.
  • Experience with tariff mitigation, duty recovery, customs strategy, and trade optimization programs.
  • Knowledge of supplier compliance, responsible sourcing, supply chain risk management, or resilience programs.
  • Experience implementing logistics, compliance, ERP, or supply chain technology solutions.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), CCS, CES, or similar professional certification.
  • International business experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
