Job Summary

As Director of Power PMO & Strategy, you will be responsible for both leading the program and project management functions and shaping the corporate strategy of Embedded Power. You will drive the development of project management methodologies while advising the BU Leader on strategic company programs, partnerships, and initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication capabilities, and a deep understanding of both strategic planning and program management processes. The ideal location for this person would be Onsite in Austin TX or San Jose CA.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and implement the PMO strategy, framework, and policies to improve project delivery.
  • Lead a team of program and project managers to ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Responsible for the entirety of the P&L related to ongoing projects/programs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Leader of Embedded Power, to develop and implement strategic company programs and initiatives.
  • Create and deploy new business models aligned with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Review opportunities for growth, M&A, investments, and partnerships.
  • Manage the full integration process – bringing together all department contacts and key stakeholders.
  • Develop business strategies that lead to market leadership and differentiation.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in program/project management and strategic leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading PMOs and managing complex, large-scale projects.
  • Profit & Loss experience and strong financial acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Project Place, MS Project, JIRA).
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
