Job Summary

We’re seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Product Management to lead a high-performing team in shaping the future of Granicus products. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned product leader who is passionate about civic technology and its power to strengthen democracy, enhance citizen engagement, and increase government transparency.

You’ll be responsible for translating our long-term vision into actionable product strategies, mentoring a team of talented Product Managers, and driving innovation across our suite of solutions. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, implementation, support, customer success, and executive leadership to deliver products that delight users, drive measurable impact, and contribute to overall product success and profitability.

What Your Impact Will Look Like
  • Define and Drive Strategy: Translate Granicus’s 3–5 year vision into a clear, actionable product roadmap aligned with business goals, customer needs, and financial outcomes.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous improvement, and effective use of AI in product discovery, delivery, and decision-making.
  • Own the Roadmap: Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility. Make informed trade-offs to maximize ROI and product profitability.
  • Champion the User: Advocate for user-centric design and data-driven decision-making. Leverage analytics, customer feedback, and market research to guide product direction.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Engineering, Design, Implementation, Support, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure seamless product delivery and go-to-market execution.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and refine product management processes, tools, and best practices to scale product development effectively.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent Granicus externally and internally as a product evangelist, articulating our vision and value proposition to stakeholders and customers, and helping shape how AI can responsibly accelerate product strategy, execution, and customer impact.
You Will Love This Job If You Have
  • Experience: 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven success managing and scaling product teams in an Agile environment.
  • Leadership: A servant-leader mindset with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect the dots between market trends, customer needs, and business objectives to craft compelling product strategies.
  • Execution Excellence: Skilled at breaking down complex problems into clear, actionable plans. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Communication: Exceptional communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization, from engineers to executives.
  • AI Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead AI adoption within product organizations, including coaching Product Managers to use AI tools effectively for research, prioritization, writing, experimentation, and team productivity.
  • Business Impact: Demonstrated ability to drive product success and profitability through strategic planning and execution.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience working in a private equity-backed environment is a strong plus. Nice to have: experience in Agenda Management, Video Streaming, and Records Request markets for SaaS products.
Pay RangeUSD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr. About Us
