Position Summary

The Director of Product Management is a senior leadership role focused on establishing enterprise-wide product management standards, aligning product roadmaps across all departments, and ensuring that product strategies support the organization’s overarching objectives. This role partners closely with executives to define the product vision and lead enterprise priorities, serving as a central point of alignment for all product teams.

Compensation 

This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $150,000 - $180,000 annually.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions

  • Enterprise Alignment
    • Serve as a catalyst for change by fostering alignment and commitment to product management principles.
    • Build executive sponsorship and cross-functional buy-in for a product-first approach.
    • Develop and implement standardized frameworks, processes, and best practices for product management across all departments.
    • Collaborate closely with product teams to align product roadmaps with the organization’s strategic objectives and enterprise priorities.
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and communicate the enterprise product vision.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment between product teams and corporate strategy.
  • Governance & Oversight
    • Establish governance mechanisms for roadmap planning and prioritization.
    • Implement tools and processes for product planning, prioritization, and performance tracking.
    • Ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
    • Monitor adherence to standards and provide guidance to departmental product managers.
    • Design career paths, training programs, and performance metrics for product management roles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as a bridge between product teams and senior leadership, facilitating transparency and alignment.
    • Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Customer & Market Insight
    • Incorporate market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback into enterprise-level product strategy.
  • Leadership & Mentorship
    • Serve as a thought leader and mentor for product managers across the organization.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field to the position, required.
  • Master's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in product management.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Product Management Certification.
  • Proven experience in enterprise-level product strategy and governance.
  • Proven success in building or transforming product management organizations in complex, regulated environments.
  • Background in financial services, mortgage, or technology-driven organizations preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational alignment capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in product management frameworks and product portfolio management.
  • Strong change leadership and organizational transformation experience.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into actionable product roadmaps.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in product analytics, prioritization frameworks, and value delivery metrics.
  • Familiarity with modern technology platforms, digital transformation, and customer experience design.
  • Experience in multi-product or multi-department organizations.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and drive consensus across diverse teams.
  • Passion for building scalable processes and fostering collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

Supervision

Requirements

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.

Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards


Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.


Environmental: Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Travel: 5% or less

Mental: This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities. 

Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday.
