What you'll do:

The Senior Business Analyst - Digital Assets serves as a key contributor to the Bank's digital asset strategy, supporting the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of digital asset products and services. This role partners closely with Product Management, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and external vendors to translate business objectives into detailed requirements, process designs, testing strategies, and operational readiness plans.
The Senior Business Analyst acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring solutions are aligned with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, operational capabilities, and client experience expectations. The individual will lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, user story development, testing coordination, and change implementation efforts for initiatives involving digital assets, stablecoins, blockchain-enabled services, digital wallets, API-based payment solutions, and emerging digital financial products.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of banking operations and payments, an understanding of digital asset ecosystems, and the ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through production deployment.
  • Serve as the lead business analyst for digital asset initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and define future-state business processes.
  • Translate business objectives into detailed business requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Analyze end-to-end workflows to identify opportunities for automation, scalability, risk reduction, and improved client experiences.
  • Ensure requirements maintain alignment with business objectives, compliance expectations, and operational capabilities.

Product & Project Delivery Support

  • Support digital asset product managers and project teams throughout the full product lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
  • Assist in defining new capabilities related to digital wallets, stablecoin services, digital asset custody, tokenization, API-enabled banking services, and real-time payment integrations.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to validate solution designs and ensure requirements are understood and implemented accurately.
  • Track project progress, manage requirement changes, and communicate impacts, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Lead business testing efforts including functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation activities.
  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned to business requirements and client use cases.
  • Coordinate testing with business subject matter experts, product owners, operations teams, and technology partners.
  • Facilitate defect triage sessions and support prioritization of remediation activities.
  • Validate that solutions meet business objectives, operational requirements, and regulatory expectations before deployment.

Process Improvement & Operational Readiness

  • Document current-state and future-state processes for digital asset products and supporting operational workflows.
  • Identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support operational readiness activities including procedures, training materials, support documentation, and transition-to-business-as-usual planning.
  • Assist with implementation of controls, monitoring, reporting, and governance processes supporting digital asset activities.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Partner with Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Customer Implementations, and business line leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, fintech partners, stablecoin providers, exchanges, and technology providers to support solution delivery.
  • Prepare executive-ready status updates, business cases, process summaries, and project communications.
  • Help facilitate conversations between business and technical teams to resolve issues and accelerate decision making.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure solutions comply with applicable banking regulations, AML/BSA requirements, sanctions screening controls, and digital asset governance standards.
  • Support risk assessments and control validation efforts for new products, processes, and integrations.
  • Assist in documenting regulatory, audit, compliance, and operational requirements related to digital asset services.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, Information Security, and Internal Audit teams during project reviews and examinations.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of related experience in Business Analysis, Banking Operations, Product Delivery, Treasury Management, Payments, Technology, or related financial services roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of digital asset ecosystems including use cases around buying, selling, sending and receiving digital assets, stablecoins, and tokenized deposits.
  • Intermediate knowledge of banking operations, treasury management, deposit operations, payment processing, and commercial banking products.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, ISO 20022 message formats, file transmission methods (SFTP/FTP), and system integration concepts.
  • Intermediate knowledge in banking or financial services operations domain, experience writing business requirements working with subject matter expertise.  
  • Solid knowledge of project management framework methodology including experience managing requirements and testing efforts across large-scale transformational projects.
  • Experience in leading business process improvement initiatives including documenting the objectives and business stakeholders, identifying resources, managing a timeline/project task list and testing/implementation effort.
  • Entry level to intermediate payments knowledge to include payment types (ACH, Wires, SWIFT, RTP, Digital Assets) and file transfer protocol (FTP/SFTP) and API banking (helpful).
  • Knowledge of risk systems associated with transaction processing a plus.  
  • Knowledge of core banking/deposit systems a plus.  
  • Vendor experience with FIS IBS Core, Actimize Fraud and Sanctions, Fiserv EPP, other wire system experience, Finastra Total Messaging.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional preferred.
