Job Description

The Edge to Cloud Solution Architect will advise our large ensuers and OEMs across their OT and IT layers, Connected Enterprise and IIoT layers as part of a co-innovation program.

  • Help work on Microsoft IoT Operations, MS IoT Hub, MS AzureML, and others as required
  • Actively engage with customers on their Data-Repositorization (MS and 3rd Party)
  • Understand Rocksell Logix platform (Studio 5000 Logix Designer, FactoryTalk Design Studio)
  • Understand and Use FactoryTalk Optix (HMI / edge application platform)
  • Understand FactoryTalk Data Mosaix (industrial data platform)
  • Contribute in configutations including Plex MES and Fiix CMMS (enterprise systems

You will report to the Director, Common Connected Applications and work in the US

Your Responsibilities:
  • Build edge-to-cloud integrations using DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix
  • Work with Microsoft solution engineers on
  • Undetstand / Use custom APIs, microservices, and modern web applications
  • Use Time-Series Databases and Data Visualization Tools
  • Develop Requirements from the understanding of Manufacturing Systems
  • Define architectures from Logix control layer to cloud
  • Align control data models with enterprise and cloud solutions
  • Apply cloud-native architectures
  • Use OPC UA companion specifications where applicable
  • Design data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix and FT DataMosaix
  • Integrate Logix, historian, and enterprise data
  • Promote analytics and predictive use cases
  • Understand / Integrate Industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA)
  • Advise on usage of FactoryTalk Optix, DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix
  • Translate complex architectures into solutions
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
  • JavaScript / TypeScript / Python
  • C# / .NET
  • Microservices, APIs, container-based systems
  • Technical and business writing
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with a data warehouse like Snowflake, RedHat Openshift, or Spark
  • Understanding of InfluxDB / Grafana Dashboarding
  • Understanding of MQTT/ Kafka Data Integration
