The Email Marketing Manager will own our email channel as both a growth driver and a creative engagement channel. You will set send strategy, manage the email calendar, and use data and deliverability best practices to improve performance and ensure the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time. You’ll also keep emails fresh, punchy, and relevant by evolving templates, formats, and content.

You will sit on the Digital Demand Gen team and work closely with Marketing Ops, Campaign Managers, Creative, and the broader Marketing organization. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on Marketo execution and thoughtful database management with experimentation across segmentation, personalization, messaging, and email design to improve engagement, reduce fatigue, and maximize impact.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical rigor with creative iteration, and wants to build email programs that are both effective and enjoyable to receive.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use email to drive pipeline and revenue
    • Build and run nurture programs, drip campaigns, newsletters, email blasts, and campaign sends that support pipeline generation and sales goals
    • Partner with Demand Gen and Sales to align targeting, timing, and messaging for lead conversion and opportunity creation
  • Execute email programs in Marketo
    • Build, QA, launch, and optimize emails, lists, and basic automation in Marketo
    • Maintain scalable templates and workflows to improve speed and consistency
  • Own email planning and send strategy
    • Manage the email calendar and coordinate sends across teams to balance pipeline priorities, frequency, and audience experience
  • Improve performance, deliverability, and engagement
    • Monitor key metrics including deliverability, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, MQLs and opportunities, along with downstream conversion
    • Test subject lines, timing, cadence, targeting, and content to improve results
  • Support segmentation and database quality
    • Partner with Marketing Ops to improve list quality, targeting, and database health
    • Use engagement and behavioral data to refine who we send to and how often
  • Expand creative execution
    • Refresh templates, layouts, and formats to keep emails engaging and on-brand
    • Experiment with new email types and creative approaches to reduce fatigue
  • Track results and share insights
    • Report on email and pipeline performance, and recommend improvements across strategy, creative, and targeting

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or demand gen
  • Highly results-oriented, organized and analytical with a bias for action
  • Hands-on Marketo experience building emails, lists, programs, and basic automation
  • Strong grasp of email best practices, deliverability, segmentation, and performance optimization
  • Data-driven and comfortable using insights to improve targeting, messaging, and results
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, consent management, and tools like OneTrust
  • Detail-oriented with strong QA and execution standards
  • Organized, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and proactive in a fast-moving environment
  • Team player who collaborates well across Marketing, Ops, Creative, and Sales
  • Interested in both the analytical and creative sides of email, from testing to template evolution
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus
