As a Business Development Representative at Spectrum Business, you will master strategic prospecting, build valuable client relationships and play a key role in developing new business opportunities. Your efforts will directly increase our sales pipeline and drive the growth of the Sales Organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Participate in targeted sales training to develop and refine your prospecting skills
  • Build strong relationships with internal Account Executives to support sales goals
  • Explain Spectrum products and services clearly to potential clients
  • Qualify prospects while maintaining professionalism and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with field-based Major Account Executives to achieve sales targets
  • Schedule smooth client transitions to the outside sales team
  • Manage a pipeline of interested prospects and stay informed about competitors
  • Commit to continuous learning of sales strategies and techniques

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Math, Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience
  • 0-1+ years sales experience ideally in business development, sales development, prospecting for new business or accounts, IT or SaaS business development or CRM usage

Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Resiliency and persistence, with enthusiasm for handling high volumes of rejection
  • Desire to learn and succeed in technology sales
  • Quick learner able to apply knowledge effectively in a team setting
  • Positive attitude and drive
  • Coachable with entrepreneurial spirit

  • Sales degree from a four-year college or equivalent level of sales experience
