We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst who will be part of the daily operations of our Finance team at InCommodities - North America. In this role, you will engage in our daily interactions with counterparties and play a key role in monitoring our liquidity and collaterals. Additionally, you will actively participate in controlling tasks for both existing and new counterparties.

In 2020, we expanded our North American presence by establishing an office in Austin, Texas. Today, our North American organization covers both power and natural gas. You will join our CFO Office and be the first member of our North American Finance team.
Your journey as Financial Analyst
In the beginning, you will work closely together with our colleagues from Europe who currently covers the entire span of our finance function globally. The purpose is to transition and handover the full responsibility to our team in North America enabling us to expand our presence within the American energy markets. You will utilize the tools currently in place and work with our Technology counterparts to develop and implement new tools and automate processes for optimum efficiency.
We will ensure you get properly introduced to the team, our organization, and our business. Furthermore, you will get thoroughly onboarded into your role, tasks, and responsibility areas so you can manage your role with a high degree of autonomy.
Responsibilities - you will:

  • Take an active part in the Finance team by handling daily operations, e.g., invoicing and invoice settlements
  • Assist in liquidity and collateral management tasks in close collaboration with colleagues
  • Perform controlling tasks of existing and new counterparties
  • Improve and develop new processes and procedures, e.g., daily operations and financial reports in collaboration with our colleagues in the Technology team
  • Execute on ad hoc projects and tasks within the Finance team
  • Be located in or willing to move to Austin, TX.


Qualifications - we imagine that you:

  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree within finance, accounting, economics, business management, or similar
  • Preferably have finance and/or business-related experience, but it is not a requirement
