We deliver solutions that help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression, creating a safer, more secure world.

Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

Join a product-oriented engineering team building secure, scalable internal applications that make manufacturing and supply chain workflows faster, clearer, and more reliable.

This role provides the opportunity to combine hands-on software development with technical leadership and application ownership. The successful candidate will help shape technical designs, mentor other developers, establish reusable engineering patterns, and support enterprise applications throughout their full lifecycle - from initial requirements through production operations.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver end-to-end features for internal Operations & Supply Chain web applications, from requirements clarification and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Serve as a technical owner for one or more enterprise applications, helping drive architectural decisions, production stability, technical debt reduction, maintainability, and long-term application health.
  • Lead technical design for complex features and application enhancements, evaluating tradeoffs involving performance, scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and delivery timelines.
  • Build modern UIs using Blazor + DevExpress (DxGrid, editors, forms), with a strong focus on performance for data-heavy screens with many columns, large datasets, complex filtering, editing, and user workflows.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs in C#/.NET, including validation, error handling, asynchronous processing, secure integration patterns, and maintainable service-layer architecture.
  • Develop and optimize data access for Azure SQL / SQL Server, including efficient query patterns, indexing awareness, query-plan analysis, scalable pagination/streaming approaches, and troubleshooting database performance issues.
  • Design and support secure cloud application patterns including secrets management, managed identities/service accounts, least-privilege access, authentication/authorization, and secure connectivity between applications and data services.
  • Support .NET applications hosted in Azure, including application configuration, environment management, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, scaling, and production support.
  • Improve operability and reliability through structured logging, telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and incident troubleshooting using Azure-native tooling such as Application Insights and Log Analytics.
  • Participate in and help improve CI/CD delivery patterns across DEV, QA, and Production environments, including deployment validation, configuration management, release troubleshooting, and rollback considerations.
  • Own quality and maintainability by writing clean, secure, testable code; performing code reviews; improving existing patterns; and ensuring solutions align with established engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to other developers through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and implementation guidance.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, Product Management, and other technical teams to translate ambiguous needs into clear technical designs and pragmatic delivery plans.
  • Lead and contribute to technical standards, reusable components, common architecture patterns, and engineering practices that accelerate delivery and improve consistency across multiple applications.
  • Balance near-term business delivery with technical debt, maintainability, performance, production stability, security, and long-term architecture.

What You Will Learn

  • Deeper system ownership for enterprise manufacturing applications, including architecture, performance, reliability, maintainability, security, and production support at scale.
  • Advanced DevExpress/Blazor patterns for complex grids, editing workflows (single/bulk), dynamic UI behaviors, reusable components, and metadata-driven user experiences.
  • Production application architecture and operations in Azure, including deployment patterns, application configuration, observability, security, resiliency, scalability, and cost-aware design.
  • Modern data integration patterns including APIs, scheduled jobs, background processing, event-driven workflows, and how those patterns map to manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
  • Enterprise data integration across Azure SQL, Snowflake, APIs, Azure Data Factory, and other internal data platforms.
  • Opportunities to influence engineering standards, application architecture, reusable patterns, and technical direction across multiple Operations & Supply Chain applications.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and building service-oriented backend logic, APIs, and enterprise application services.
  • Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL, or equivalent relational database platforms, building data-driven applications and diagnosing and optimizing slow queries and data-access patterns.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-hosted application development and production operations, preferably Azure, including application hosting, configuration, secrets management, deployment, logging/monitoring, and troubleshooting production .NET applications.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, explain technical decisions, and drive work to completion.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong experience with DevExpress Blazor, including DxGrid, editors, forms, reporting, customization, and performance tuning for large and complex datasets.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting .NET applications in Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, Key Vault, managed identities, application configuration, networking/security considerations, and CI/CD deployment patterns.
  • Ability to make pragmatic Azure architecture decisions involving application hosting, scalability, reliability, security, observability, resiliency, deployment strategy, and cost.
  • Experience implementing secure cloud application patterns including Azure Key Vault, managed identities, service accounts, least-privilege access, secure configuration, and credential/secret lifecycle management.
  • Observability experience using structured logging, metrics, distributed traces, Application Insights, Log Analytics, dashboards, alerts, and production incident triage.
