Job Description

As a Global EPC Technical Consultant, you are responsible for translating Rockwell Automation’s defined data center solution stack into fully engineered, project-ready designs in collaboration with EPC partners and Engineers of Record.

This role works directly within the EPC design process to ensure Rockwell solutions are properly specified, integrated, and adopted within project deliverables. You act as the bridge between solution definition and project execution, partnering side-by-side with EPC teams to develop architectures, specifications, bills of materials, and supporting documentation required to deploy Rockwell systems at scale. You will report to the Director, Global Lighthouse Industry Solutions.

Your Responsibilities

EPC Engagement & Design Integration

  • Work directly with EPC firms and Engineers of Record to integrate Rockwell solutions into their design workflows and deliverables
  • Understand and align with EPC design phases (conceptual, FEED, detailed design) to ensure proper timing and inclusion of Rockwell scope
  • Act as the primary technical interface between Rockwell and EPC design teams throughout project development

Solution Translation & Engineering Definition

  • Translate Lighthouse industry solution architectures into project-specific system designs
  • Develop detailed architectures, system layouts, and integration strategies aligned to EPC and customer requirements
  • Ensure alignment between standardized solution sets and real-world project implementation constraints

Specifications, BOMs & Documentation

  • Lead development of procurement specifications, technical documents, and design standards for Rockwell systems
  • Create and validate bills of materials (BOMs) aligned with project requirements and system architecture
  • Ensure all documentation is contract-ready and aligned with EPC and end-user expectations

Partner Collaboration & Co-Development

  • Work side-by-side with EPC partners to co-develop designs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with Rockwell standards
  • Support EPC teams in evaluating design options and making informed engineering decisions involving Rockwell technologies
  • Provide guidance to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and scalable

Standards Alignment & Consistency

  • Ensure EPC designs adhere to Rockwell reference architectures, building blocks, and global standards
  • Identify gaps between standard solutions and project needs, feeding back improvements to the GITC and product teams
  • Promote consistency across projects to enable repeatability and scale

Pre-Sales & Project Support

  • Support strategic pursuits by aligning EPC design outputs with proposal scope, cost estimates, and technical positioning
  • Ensure continuity between pre-sales solution definition and final engineering deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance during project transitions from design to execution

Internal Coordination

  • Partner closely with Global Industry Technical Consultants (GITCs), Business Units, and regional teams to ensure alignment between solution intent and execution
  • Participate in internal design reviews and technical forums to share lessons learned and improve future deployments

  • Experience developing:
    • System architectures and integration strategies
    • Technical specifications and contract documents
    • Bills of material (BOMs) and procurement packages
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, control systems, or facility systems
