Overview

THE OPPORTUNITY

Every month, renters pay for housing through property management companies, and that relationship gives us something rare: a trusted, recurring, high-frequency touchpoint with the resident. We are building the financial layer around it: payments, insurance, rewards, embedded financial products and a resident AI that ties the experience together. Partners are how that layer gets built, funded and made valuable.

As Head of Partnerships you will be the single front door for every external relationship that matters to our fintech business: the banks and financial institutions that power our products, the fintechs and platforms that extend them, and the consumer brands that give residents a reason to engage. You will build the network, structure the deals, and run the relationships so that each partner creates measurable value for residents, for property managers and for us.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Bank and financial institution partnerships. Own the relationships behind our money-movement and financial products: sponsor and issuing banks, BaaS providers, card networks and processors. Source, negotiate and manage them for resilience, economics and regulatory fit.
  • Embedded finance partnerships. Build the partner network behind embedded products such as loans, cards and other financial services, and structure revenue-share, funding and distribution models that work for both sides.
  • Resident-value partnerships. Source and sign consumer brands (streaming, mobility, retail, travel and more) that make the resident experience worth using, and shape offers that drive engagement and loyalty.
  • Strategic and existing partner relationships. Run the executive relationships with the strategic partners we already work with. Protect and grow volume, align roadmaps and manage performance, economics and renewals.
  • Deal structuring and governance. Lead commercial terms from first conversation to signature, with Legal, Finance, Risk and Compliance. Build a clear approval path, deal flow visibility and partner scorecards.
  • Partner activation. Great contracts are not enough. Work with Product, Resident Experience, Engineering and GTM so each partner launches on time, performs and scales.
  • Ecosystem strategy. Decide where we build, buy or partner. Bring a point of view on the fintech and bank landscape and where our resident ecosystem creates leverage.

HOW YOU WILL WORK

Partnerships succeeds when it works as one team with the rest of the business:

  • With Product and Engineering on partner requirements, integrations and roadmap trade-offs.
  • With Resident Experience on what residents actually want from a partner offer.
  • With GTM & Commercialization and Marketing on joint launches, co-marketing and adoption.
  • With Finance, Risk, Compliance and Legal on economics, diligence, regulatory fit and contracts.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

Demonstrable partnership results are the heart of this role. We are looking for someone who can show us, with names, deals and outcomes, what they built.

  • 10+ years in fintech business development and partnerships, with a record of originating, negotiating and closing material deals with banks, fintechs, processors or networks.
  • Hands-on experience structuring bank and BaaS partnerships (sponsor or issuing banks, card programs, lending or funding partners) and managing them through diligence, launch and steady state.
  • A track record building consumer or resident ecosystems: signing brand and benefit partners, designing offers, and showing the engagement or revenue they produced.
  • Deep command of embedded finance and partnership economics: revenue share, take rate, funding costs, risk sharing and unit economics.
  • Experience running executive-level relationships and managing a partner portfolio for performance, not just signing it.
  • Comfort in a regulated environment: you know what banks, compliance and risk teams need, and you bring them in early.
  • A real network across banks, fintechs and consumer brands that you can activate from day one.

Nice to have: multifamily, real estate or property technology exposure; marketplace or platform partnerships; experience building a partnerships function and team from scratch.

WHY JOIN

  • A partner proposition with real pull. A resident base reached through property managers, a growing set of financial products, and a roadmap that gives partners something unique to plug into.
  • Scope and visibility. A direct report to the Chief Fintech Officer, a seat on the leadership team, and a scorecard the board sees.
  • Build, don’t maintain. You will set the partnership strategy, the deal process and the team.
  • Impact you can measure. Each partnership connects to resident outcomes and the numbers we report to the board.
Pay RangeUSD $157,600.00 - USD $286,400.00 /Yr.
