About Overwatch Mission Critical
Overwatch is a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) certified through the National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC), offering construction professional services, talent acquisition, and general contractor services for the mission-critical infrastructure industry.

Our mission is the construction and management of state-of-the-art data centers with the precision and reliability this industry demands. From high-end engineers to seasoned professionals, we deploy the people you need to get your data center off the ground. At Overwatch, it's more than a job. It's a purpose.

Role Overview

We're hiring an HR Coordinator to be the operational backbone of our People team. You'll be the first point of contact for employees navigating HR systems and policies, the steward of our employee data in Rippling, and a project partner to HR leadership. This role suits someone who is highly organized, discreet, comfortable with HR technology, and energized by being the person who makes things run smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Do:

Employee Support & HR Ticketing
  • Serve as the first responder for employee inquiries submitted through our HR ticketing system, resolving Tier 1 questions on policy, benefits, payroll, time off, and system access
  • Triage and escalate complex matters to appropriate HR Business Partners or specialists with clean documentation
  • Maintain a knowledge base of common questions and refine canned responses for accuracy and tone
HRIS Administration (Rippling)
  • Run regular data audits across Rippling, payroll, and benefits to ensure data integrity
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports from Rippling for HR leadership, finance, and department heads
  • Partner with HR leadership to optimize Rippling workflows, approval chains, and document templates as the business evolves
Employee Relations Support
  • Provide neutral note-taking and documentation support during disciplinary, investigatory, and performance management meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained per company protocol
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive employee matters
  • Track case documentation and ensure proper file retention
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Payroll, IT, Finance, and Facilities to coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle events
  • Coordinate logistics for HR programs (open enrollment, performance review cycles, training rollouts, compliance trainings)
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors and external partners on routine matters
Project Support for HR Leadership
  • Provide project management support to HR executives on initiatives such as policy rollouts, system implementations, and engagement programs
  • Build and maintain project trackers, agendas, status updates, and post-mortems
  • Prepare materials, presentations, and meeting minutes for leadership reviews

What We're Looking For:

Required
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a closely related administrative role with sensitive data
  • Experience with HR ticketing or service desk tools (ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira, Freshservice, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong written communication — clear, concise, professional tone
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel
  • Some college coursework completed; equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting executives or senior leaders with project coordination
  • Familiarity with employment law fundamentals (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII)
  • Prior experience in employee relations support, including documentation of disciplinary proceedings

What Success Looks Like in 6 Months
  • HR tickets are resolved or routed within SLA, with employees reporting high satisfaction
  • Rippling data is clean, accurate, and audit-ready
  • HR leadership trusts you to own logistics and documentation for sensitive matters
  • You've taken at least one cross-functional project from kickoff to close

Benefits:
Overwatch Construction offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and relocation assistance available.
