Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Industrial Engineering Manager located in Georgetown, TX.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Operations Engineering, the Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers working on increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead and develop Industrial Engineering teams while establishing labor standards, work measurement programs, and workforce utilization strategies.
  • Analyze production processes, facility layouts, and operational performance to optimize labor, equipment, and resource utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing throughput, reducing costs, and eliminating waste across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement production planning, cost control, and management systems that support operational and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design manufacturable products and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Optimize material flow, logistics, and distribution processes while supporting strategic operational planning and site-wide performance improvements.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 7 years of engineering experience including with experience in manufacturing operations and engineering leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with capacity planning, labor standards, time studies, workflow analysis, and cost reduction initiatives, utilizing simulation software (FlexSim, Arena, or similar) to support manufacturing optimization, facility layout design, and operational improvements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive operational performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, KPI management, and manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP) to support business objectives and decision-making.
